Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Barren River Lake

Location, Location, Location. I can't imagine being closer to the park without actually being in the park. The house was cozy yet spacious if that makes sense. The house has some essentials, (spices, dishwasher pods and detergent, shampoo, body wash) but no laundry detergent, so you need to bring some if you plan on using the clothes washer. An IGA and save a lot are about 20 minutes out, but they don't have a great selection, stock up on groceries elsewhere. Communication with the owner was quick on our first night when we couldn't figure out how to use the shower. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area. And by the way, Mammoth cave was amazing.

This home on the river is absolutely stunning and had plenty of room for my family to relax after long days in the sun. All of the sleeping arrangements were great too. The two decks in the back of the house were an outstanding place to drink our morning coffee. The views and scenery were fantastic and even saw many deer walking within feet of the house. Wow what a place!!! Will definitely be booking again for next year.

This location was ideal for my family. We were in Bowling Green for a wedding at The Capitol, so being only a couple blocks away was incredibly convenient. We enjoyed having separate rooms and the large living room. Drinking coffee on the deck in the morning was wonderful. We had our dog along, and it was great to have several parks close by.

Highly recommend. Michele was extremely helpful and friendly when we ran into a back road situation. The locals are extremely friendly and helpful as well. Felt like we were treated as family instead of strangers. The place was comfortable, clean, felt just like home, peaceful and was extremely close to Lake Nolin. Our son and nephew enjoyed fishing and just hanging out with one another. Mammoth Caves is only a half hour drive and there were even tourist pamphlets and restaurant recommendations as well inside this Airbnb. Thank you so much for your kindness and going above and beyond for when we needed your help. Will definitely come back and stay again. You and your husband are 5 star hosts!!!

Amy and her place were both awesome! It's a comfortable, clean, and well-decorated property and Amy is one of the more thoughtful and responsive Airbnb hosts I've come across! We stayed for a wedding at the Fridge Farm venue and it couldn't have been more conveniently located - just down the road.

What a beautiful home away from home. We felt safe and comfortable and coming from a big city, the tranquility was exactly what we needed. Anita’s house smelled amazing coming in, we were greeted with cookies and the kids loved it! Thank you for hosting us

This was the perfect stop for myself and my 2 sleepy pups! There was a beautiful walking trail immediately next to the house with gorgeous flora and fauna. The home was just what we needed and I would absolutely stay again!

Plenty of space for our large family to spread out. Here for graduation and had a wonderful time.

Romay is an awesome host. Quick response with clear instructions to in the home. Romay's home is just beautiful. The pictures give no justice to how beautiful the home is. Romay left ice cream and other items for my group to enjoy. The pool is very enjoyable with a TV outside and grills to use. I would 100% recommend booking this beautiful place. This was a beautiful farmhouse and we loved the pool. Very cozy with plenty of space. There are lots of steps to get into the house as well as getting up and down to the different levels of the house. Beds were very comfortable and the furniture as well.

If I could leave more than 5 stars for extra credit, I would. It was an incredibly peaceful stay. The horses were serene. The dogs were so so friendly. My 10 year old LOVED the tree house and the creek. (She wants a creek in our yard now. lol) The space was exactly as described, looks just like the photos. All the comforts of home. The kitchen had any dishes, pots, pans, containers, foil, etc. you could possibly want to use. And so CLEAN! And Tracy and her family are the most lovely people. I enjoyed getting to know them. I highly recommend staying here!!!!

It was perfect for our need to sleep, shower and rest in a cool, clean, dry log cabin. This was our first stay at an Air B&B and I hope future locations meet the same expectations.

Cabin was peaceful and quiet. Great place to stay for a week and unplug from the busyness of life. The host was very prompt in taking care of a slight air condition challenge and we enjoyed our stay with everything we needed. Definitely would visit again!

We’re return guests and Uncle Kenneth’s place has become a family favorite. The serene surroundings and outdoor activities- we even managed to see a turtle and Uncle Kenneth gave us some turtle facts which the kids loved. The new addition with the poolside cabana is fabulous! Made hosting poolside a breeze. We will definitely visit again and again!!!

Karrie was super nice easy to deal with! this place is beautiful. We didn't want to leave! felt right at home. wish we would have had more time there. Planning on staying again next year!

This is a beautiful, clean, and well appointed cabin. Lora was so kind to check in and make sure we had all we needed after our arrival, but the place was already perfect and we felt right at home. We stayed during the summer which was great for easy access to Barren River Lake, but this would also be an amazing winter rental with the cozy look of the cabin and the two fireplaces. Thank you Lora for hosting us!

Our family had a great stay at Cozy Cub Run. The house had a very nice layout, a beautiful view and was very clean. Nice surrounding area for walks with our dog. Also, the deck was huge and it was nice that we had the option to sit under the covered area or not. Spent a lot of time out there! Hot tub was also well maintained/clean. Highly recommend!

I’m not exaggerating when I say this was my FAVORITE Airbnb stay ever! Shannon is the most hospitable host and her little tiny house is just adorable and has everything you need and more! She was so friendly to me and my pup and even brought me some fresh lettuce she harvested from her garden one day. What a dream! I could sit on the porch and listen to the chickens cluck for days. Also- DO NOT pass up the overnight oats 😍!The blueberry lemon one is so fresh and the banana walnut one was perfect. 10/10 would definitely stay again!

This was a great place! There was 5 of us(3kids) and still had plenty of room. Was nice to be able to walk right out and fish and also had a side by side available to get around with. Was awesome weekend, Thank you!

Lori is the consummate host. It was wonderful home to be shared and we were very comfortable from our arrival forward. Peaceful and quiet, beautifully furnished with all sort of thoughtful extras. We really appreciated her stocking the fridge with all of the necessities. We have stayed in many AirBnB's and this has been among the best!

I have stayed in many AirBnBs over the years and this was definitely a favorite. Everything was extremely clean and very well decorated. We brought our two dogs with us and the layout of the house/yard worked great for us. We were able to let the dogs hang out on the porch without worrying about them escaping, and there was plenty of yard for us to use the yard stakes/walk them around. We stayed here while visiting Mammoth Cave, and it was a great location. There isn't a ton of restaurants close enough to walk, but we brought all of our food with us. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had no issues! There were so many outlets! It was great! The only complaint (and not even a complaint really, just a preference!) is that I wish there was an extra standing fan. There was a standing heater in the closet, but not a fan. The mini-split AC did great in the kitchen/living room, but the bedroom was a little warm. A full length mirror would also be a great addition to the space.

This was exactly what we were looking for for our weekend getaway to Mammoth Cave National Park! It’s right between Mammoth Cave and Cave City, so driving to either is easy. The check-in process was seamless and the host provided great local recommendations for food and coffee! The house was perfectly clean when we showed up, and was exactly as advertised. Definitely recommend this house if you’re looking to spend some time in the area!
