“Rachel’s place is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed for the weekend to attend our friends wedding in Barnard Castle and cannot recommend No.3 highly enough. It is beautifully furnished, warm welcoming and comfy with exquisite touches like fresh flowers and helpful info. Rach is a fabulously helpful and responsive host. We also felt our stay was really great value for money and will 100% be back. Thank you so much for lending us your lovely home! Alex and Josh ☺️ X”

“Clean and full of character. A great location to explore the beautiful local area and plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Communication was great and very good value for money. It’s not the biggest space but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character, perfect for two adults.”

Local attractions within an hours drive include High Force Waterfall, City of Durham, Newcastle, Beamish Museum, Lightwater Valley, the Kynren spectacular at Bishop Auckland to name just a few, and of course Barnard Castle is the home of The Bowes Museum which attracts visitors worldwide.
“Perfectly located, clean and homely cottage a short walk from the town centre. Its situated on a very quiet street so is peaceful at night. We had 3 lovely nights here and our 2 dogs loved it too. There are so many lovely river walks just at the bottom of the hill. Highly recommended and we'd definitely stay there again.”
