Nicky is a fantastic host. First of all, he created a beautiful, characteristic, refined, welcoming, modern house, with attention to every detail. Independent entrance and delightful garden. ❤️ Then he even accommodated a special request😍. The village doesn't have much to offer, but a few minutes away there are beautiful beaches (Luz Burgau and Salema). 20 minutes away is Lagos, where you can find everything, a town with no flaws, with the most famous beaches in the Algarve! And 25/30 minutes in the opposite direction is SAGRES, a natural paradise where we saw the most beautiful sunset of our lives. If I were to return to the Algarve, I would choose to stay here again, a perfect 😍 location for a stay with less tourist crowds and more authentic. Thank you Nicky for this opportunity. I just point out that the bedroom is the bathtub, it is not easy to access for those who have serious mobility difficulties, but for everyone else it is a romantic plus 🥰

We absolutely fell in love with Portha Velha. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt completely at home. The charming house is spacious and full of thoughtful touches. Set in a traditional village with a serene atmosphere, it’s the perfect escape from the busy world. There’s one little store and a cozy coffee place nearby that features traditional live music every Friday! The fully equipped kitchen made cooking a joy, and the orange juicer quickly became one of my favorite parts of the stay. The attic space is perfect for yoga or meditation as it can get quite warm upstairs. Despite that, the house stays pleasantly cool thanks to its thick brick walls. Portha Velha is also perfectly located for discovering the beautiful Algarve region—whether you’re heading to the coast, exploring local villages, or enjoying the countryside, everything is within easy reach. Nicki, the co-host, was fantastic—very responsive and easy to reach.

Our stay at Fedja's, Ivan and Nicki's place in Luz was amazing! We were able to check in earlier which was very handy. The instructions to check in were super clear and the communication with Nicki was great! We felt right at home and the house was stunning, the area is great too, close to the beaches and a lot of parking space! I fully recommend spending your sunny days in this beautiful Airbnb! :)

We felt super comfortable with Ambo and his family. The tent offers a very special unique atmosphere for those who love to stay close to nature. It was super lovingly decorated and equipped with everything you need. Thanks again for the great wine! Also worth mentioning is the comfortable bed. In addition, Ambo was really always easily accessible and also gave us nice recommendations for the area. The sea is only 10 minutes away and many destinations are very close. Overall, we can say that Ambo was a super warm host who always strived for the well-being of his guests. When we arrived in the middle of the night, he even sent us videos to help us find the property. We'd come back any time :)! Thank you!
