Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Baliasta Chalet, Unst.

Modern, newly refurbished chalet in a quiet area of Baltasound. The property is light, airy and surprisingly spacious. It’s in a perfect location for exploring Unst, with its many beaches, walks and interesting places to visit, as well as the neighbouring islands of Yell and Fetlar. Conveniently located near shops and within walking distance of the leisure centre. The chalet has many features to make it more accessible including a ramp, accessible toilet & shower if required. Old Moorens

Old Moorens is a cosy, traditional crofthouse on the rugged and beautiful West-side of Shetland. Charming and full of character, the house is situated only 200 metres from a quiet, shingly beach with beautiful sunset views. As well as this, it is only a short, 5 minute walk, to the main West-side bus route. The perfect base for exploring the many attractions Shetland has to offer in all seasons. Fresh, light and airy in the summer months with a wood burning stove for the colder nights.

Minutes from quiet rural beaches, the famous Hams o Roe, trying to spot an otter passing the window or waking up to Shalders on the patio, in 2018 Shetland had 2 pods of Orcas circumnavigating the islands. At evening you can enjoy the award winning Frankies fish & chips, enjoy complimentary mussels from our farm, or seek out Shetland music.

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Traditional crofter's cottage in peaceful Unst

A traditional Shetland Crofter's cottage in Baliasta, Unst, Shetland. Close by to the Loch of Cliff, near to the local shops and leisure centre. We absolutely love our little spot and enjoy opening it up to our many well-travelled guests. The cottage is very cosy, has a wood burning stove, and a good-sized garden. Please be aware though, that it is a very old house and as such has some rustic quirks. While we are happy to accommodate children please be aware all beds are doubles.

Welcome to my beautiful cottage in Unst. The cottage has a lot of history behind it and used to be owned by the poet Jackie Renwick. It's a birdwatcher's paradise with two sycamore trees, bush cover and a wildlife pond. See below for a list of interesting birds. Birds of interest spotted in Cameron Cottage garden: Spotted flycatcher, pied flycatcher, redstart, yellow-browed warbler, barred warbler, water rail, snow bunting and tree sparrow.
