Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Balsam Lake

After being displaced from our home after damage from severe weather we were so fortunate to find this location. The house accommodated our family of 4 with pets for nearly a month without any issues. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are well finished, bedrooms were comfortable and the location was very clean. The backyard is a beautiful and relatively private space hidden within a 15 minute walk to the downtown restaurants or the beach area. Anzhelika is an excellent host who was very responsive when needed, provided clear instructions and ample privacy. We would happily recommend this location to friends and family attending the area for events.

This place was absolutely amazing and It located in a highly Peaceful and Private Location. The house is extremely clean and neat. The Furniture and interior design was Stunning. We had a fantastic time there. I would highly Recommend this place to anyone. Specially, Taylor was one of the great host I have ever dealt with. Very promo and responsive. Spent a wonderful weekend at this home while visiting family nearby! The house is very spacious and the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and cookware we needed to make our own meals. The en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom was a great bonus. We were all very impressed, and would happily stay here again next time!

My stay was comfortable and relaxing! I love this house it’s so unique and fun. My son and I loved it. We found it feels sort of like a fort which we loved. The host is so relaxed and go with the flow it was so refreshing!!! We had an incredible stay at Mila’s place. Our group of 12 fit very comfortably. We appreciated all the space, the cleanliness and the well stocked kitchen. Mila also went above and beyond to return an item we left behind. I would highly recommend staying here!

Kayla's place is something one shouldn't miss. It REALLY home away from home. You have everything you need whether you are staying for short time period of long. The vies from the bedrooms are just exceptional. It truly feels like home with a touch of vintage and contemporary and beautiful surroundings. A must visit. We look forward to visiting again.

Booked this place for a cottage trip and we had the best time ever there! Amanda was super accommodating to our needs and the house was in great condition!

This is the third year we have stayed there. We attend a big event in town, so it is nice to come back to something cozy and comfortable. We even went down to the water for a short walk this year since there was no ice or snow.

I stayed here for my son’s competition that was in town. It was far less than a hotel and offered more comfort. Large tv to watch the hockey games at night and full kitchen and living area. The location is super easy to get to off of the Hwy and is in a great neighbourhood. It was nice out so it was a real easy walk to the waterfront to stroll the main streets and we ate at a cool Italian spot. If I ever go back to Barrie, I’ll stay here again for sure.

For sure, if I have to go back in Peterborough, I would rent again this lovely apartment. It has all the basics and I appreciate the quiet neighbourhood. Self entry was easy with the detailed instructions of the host. The only comment I would give to other guests is that the mattress is quite soft and a little uneven. Nevertheless, I had two very good night sleeps thanks to the quiet spot and also very good quality of bedding.

We have stayed at Susan’s place for our anniversary a few years in a row and it is always clean, cozy, and peaceful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away with a loved one.

A great place at a very reasonable price

Christine communicated well and provided a list of all requirements. The lake and dock is absolutely perfect. A few steps down to the water but the shallow waterfront makes up for it. Awesome spots for kids to be swimming without worry. Lots of space.

Right from the start the hosts were friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Helps us with a early check in and late check out Description of the home was perfect and spot on. Even in early spring, the views were gorgeous and peaceful. The home was spaces and beautiful. Plenty of room for a few buddies hanging for the weekend or quick family getaway. Beautiful home with classy decor. Home was cozy but scantily equipped with needed kitchen amenities. Be sure to read the house rules before booking! House rules are unnecessarily excessive, makes it uncomfortable to get that "home away from home" experience, so read the house rules before booking! Host must have had unpleasant situations with guests in the past. The house is gorgeously decorated and pristine, should be featured in a home magazine for real. Overall, we had a great stay!

I had the pleasure of returning to this wonderful Airbnb, and it was just as amazing as I remembered, if not better. The space is beautifully curated, with such an artistic flair that immediately makes you feel at home. Every corner of the home is thoughtfully designed, blending comfort with creativity, making it a perfect retreat. Sara is an absolute gem. She was incredibly responsive to all my questions, ensuring everything was perfect for my stay. Her warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and inviting. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s not just a stay; it’s an experience.

Beautiful, clean, spacious, well equipped, has comfy beds and is dog friendly. Make sure to bring coffee, salt and pepper, oil, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, dishwasher pods, paper towel and a hair dryer. We enjoyed the ice rink and outdoor hot tub and some snow shoe paths on the property. It's only a 20 min drive to the Bracebridge forest management centre which has well groomed cross country and snow shoe trails, no charge. We enjoyed our stay.

a really nice property nestled away from the main city! felt like we were up north given that it's inside a York region protected forest! the property was very well stocked, really good appliances and extremely clean! Patrick was amazing in his communications: gave clear instructions and was quick in his replies! plenty of space in the property, lots of parking space, backyard space and a really nice pool area! the pool also had plenty of amenities. Definitely recommend Patrick and his Cedar Escape property!
