Apartment holiday rentals in Ballina

To be honest, I am rather reluctant to write this review. Why? Because I hope that only a few people might find out about this idyllic place otherwise it will likely be booked up the whole year through. But then that would not be fair to our very gracious hosts Joanne and Cathal. The apartment is resplendent, pristine and bright - with everything you might hope to find provided in a self-catering setting, and more besides.. We lacked nothing. Big screen smart TV, two separate bathrooms - one with a bath which I was sure to use after my Croagh Patrick ascent and descent, even a Salon level hair-dryer was provided. Two huge beds in an impressively spacious studio space upstairs. A well lit and spacious kitchen making meal preparation a joy with no lack of accessories provided. A large living-TV room with an expansive luxurious settee. But the quiet, the stillness and the closeness to nature cannot be overstated. As a retreat setting it is quite perfect and only 15 mins from Knock Shrine.

We had a wonderful stay in the Hideaway for two days. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and check in was really easy! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was of superior quality. Various supplies were provided eg. Milk, bread, eggs, butter, cereal, yogurts, fruit bowl etc. Also great, location… 5 minute walk from the town centre! We would definitely stay here again 😊

A most enjoyable stay,beautiful surroundings it really is a great place especially as the apartment over looks the river moy,David and Noelle added special touches there was fresh scones and jam laid out on the table also a vase of fresh flowers in the lounge and bedroom which we found very welcoming,the apartment was spotlessly clean throughout and had everything that you would need,we most certainly would come back and highly recommend to friends,David and Noelle are a lovely couple and very helpful .

Gail’s place exceeded my expectations. The kitchen includes a separate sitting and dining area, so it was not at all pokey. Although it is above a cafe/pizza shop with lovely cooking smells, it was quiet in the evening. The apartment had everything we needed. The one drawback is there is no number to the apartment and so you have converse by messenger and meet Gail for key handover.

The house is extra roomy with a carpeted living room and kitchen area that includes the dining table. It was delightful to meet and chat with Angela. The surroundings are quite rural and quiet.

We are just back from a lovely stay at Tony’s retreat. It was perfect for us and very clean. Hosts went over and above for us to ensure that we had a lovely stay for my mums birthday. 🎂 Great location wise also as we were visiting Knock for a few days. Very close to Knock Shrine and easily accessible for all! We will definitely be back to stay again! Thanks so much to Antoinette for making our stay so enjoyable! 🥰

Comfortable space with a beautiful river view. There were a few minor hiccups that Mary promptly addressed. Visitors from the states should beware that European washing machines and dryers have VERY long cycles. Just the way things are. The Port Chipper just down the street has THE best fried cod we ate in all of Ireland. Steak burger also excellent. Had another fine meal at the Hotel Newport. Centra market in town remarkably well-stocked.

Cozy place on the Quay with views of the water and access to lots of shops and restaurants. Place had everything we needed and host was nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Ita's place is in a perfect, quiet location, the place was spotless when we arrived, and she always responded quickly whenever we had a question. The pictures don't do it justice 100%, it's far more spacious than it looks. Easy to access with vehicle, road up to the house is properly taken care of. Many beautiful sunsets we're seen on our stay as well - great views from the living room. Internet is fast. Not much else to say, our stay was perfect. Thanks again Ita!

Had an amazing 5 nights in the apartment! wished we'd had longer. Even before landing Breeda was in contact with us, to ensure everything went smoothly. She met us despite it being late evening when we arrived so that we were clear on instructions. The apartment was beyond what we expected. It is ideally located, closeto everything in the town and transport. The apartment is very spacious but equally very warm and cosy so you can enjoy your time there. Without hesitation we will be returning and already passed on our recommendation to a family member who lives out of Town.

We had a really memorable stay. Tom and Christina were really helpful, friendly and very welcoming, every detail they gave was perfect. The studio was our perfect getaway, a very peaceful and quiet locality. We went by the recommendations given by Tom and Christina, they were all worth it. They also have two labs who were very loving and friendly. We can’t wait to come back here, the kind of place where you could have the most relaxed vacation :)

Our stay with Regina was wonderful it's a great little get away; nice, peaceful, relaxing and great views all around. Regina was the perfect host greeting us at the door making us feel very welcomed, giving us tips on what to do in the local area and leaving us some of her signature scones to enjoy. I would highly recommend staying with Regina.

The host has been proactive with all the information that we needed. The place had ample parking space. The surroundings are lush green. It's great to wake up to the sound of nature. The place is a perfect weekend gateway, if you want to recuperate your tired soul within the nature.

Excellent value, very comfortable, perfect location and very friendly family.

We had a fantastic time staying at Shelia's place (The Snug). Situated in the quiet village of Dunkineely located between Donegal Town and Killybegs, the accommodation is the ideal base to explore this part of Donegal. The enclosed large garden, which has a wonderful view over the bay, was perfect for our dog Molly. The people of the village were very friendly, there is a Mace 1 min walk away should you need anything and you'll receive a warm welcome (dogs too !!) in Macs Bar if you fancy a pint. We didn't need to contact the host during our stay as we had no problems and everything about the place was perfect. My only complaint is we didn't stay longer. We plan to make a return visit.

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

We had a great stay at Terry's, who was a super responsive and understanding host. The accommodation is perfect, simple and functional with a magnificent view of the sea. How lucky to live in a place like this. Terry and his wife are charming, discreet and attentive. We will be happy to come back.

We had a great time in John's house!! Tricia was great with a very welcomed check in, great recommendations and always available during our stay!! The house is amazing and right in the center of Westport town, lovely furnished and with everything you need for a relaxing and nice vacation!!! Highly recommended and definitely to come back if we pass by Westport again!! Thanks for everything it was great to stay in this house :-)!!!

Very comfortable, cosy apartment for 2 people. Very high standard of insulation. Very well equipped kitchen in terms of pots, pans, utensils, plates etc. Excellent Welcome Pack along with lots of the daily needs .. oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, butter, bread etc etc . . above our standard experience in this respect. Very quiet location but still only 10-15 mins easy walk to Clifden shops, restaurants and pubs. Susan was a very responsive communicator before and during our stay. We would highly recommend.

I stayed 2 nights at Ann's cottage and enjoyed it very much. The cottage is very comfortable with lovely view out over the water and surrounding area. Easy to find using eircode and google maps..great base to explore the are. Ann was a very helpful and accommodating host. I would stay again
