Holiday rentals with lake access in Ballarat

Such a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. The house was beautifully designed, cozy, and had everything we needed. Waking up to farm views and fresh air was the highlight. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and recharge!

We really loved staying at Kylie’s old home. It was very comfortable and close to where we were playing badminton. Excellent location.

Lovely little place which was great for a friend and I to stay the night before Ballarat Marathon. Linda was helpful and super responsive. Only bad side for us was the price clearly went up quite a lot (I’m assuming because of the marathon and lack of available accommodation in the area), any other time it looks like it costs about a third of what we paid. So value for money for us is wasn’t great but it is what it is. Place was cute enough to stay again.

Had a wonderful stay, the place was everything as described, spacious, very clean and well equipped with everything you need, and we especially liked that it was so close to Lake Daylesford. The balcony backed out onto the lake and was the prefect spot to relax and watch the sunset. Something to note for anyone with mobility issues, this suite (3) can only be accessed by a slightly steep flight of stairs which proved to be a little difficult for my elderly mum, would’ve have been great if this was included in the details beforehand. There also seemed a slight problem with toilet seat (wasn’t fitted properly) and some information contained in the ‘information file’ in the suite contradicted with the details (check-out times) that was provided. However overall, we had a fabulous stay, it is a gorgeous place and would definitely recommend!

Booked this property for my parents to stay on their wedding anniversary. They were very impressed with the property and loved their stay. It had everything they needed and was in a beautiful location. Communication was prompt and booking was very easy. Would recommend!

The place is 5min walk from Sovereign Hill which was great for us. It was equipped with everything we needed. We felt comfortable

The lakeside suite was serene. Tidy clean and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. The lakeside suite is walking distance from Vincent Street and the lake is easily accessible. The decking could do with a little bit of TLC and being on the lower level we could hear our neighbours above us. Nonetheless, our stay was lovely.

The unit was very clean and tidy. Nice quiet street, very close to the Lake with easy access and parking. We had a great time.

Beautiful outlook over Lake Daylesford, fabulous large balcony to relax on. Easy to walk around the lake, and up to the restaurants and shops. Spacious bedroom, bathroom and living space. Super comfortable and clean.

Our two visits 'bookended' a two week holiday in Tasmania, via Ferry rides with car. We very much appreciated being able to visit and stay at Christines accommodation.

Neal was a great host from check in to check out! All the thoughtful extras were appreciated. The cottage felt very welcoming and homely on arrival and throughout our stay. A beautiful base to travel within the Central Goldfields region. Neal's knowledge of the area and recommendations were appreciated as we were able to visit some of these places which we enjoyed.

I'd highly recommend Stephanie's country cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful bush getaway. A friendly and gracious host, we felt right at home straight away and the cottage was lovely and comfortable. The garden is a fantastic place to do some star gazing, then have a copy fire to warm back up. Just loved it. Thank you for having us Stephanie!

The location of this property is excellent — within a 10-minute drive to all the local restaurants and Lake Daylesford. The interior is simply yet comfortably furnished, making it a great option for a short family getaway. If you’re not bothered by being close to the main road, it’s not an issue. For families considering a longer stay, having a dryer would make it even more perfect.

Great location easy walk to the main area. Only a small house, but served our needs. Even though it was a cold weekend, the heating was able to get the house warm. Would stay again!

Had a fabulous stay at this gorgeous little cottage. Close to the lake and a stroll into town to cafes and restaurants. Located in beautiful peaceful surroundings with secure fencing for my dog. I enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the little wrens hopping around. I felt right at home staying at Bidwell Cottage and left feeling so relaxed. I hope to come back soon.
