We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

Mainslea is located in the beautiful setting of Dunure opposite a ruined castle with amazing views of Arran and a short walk to the beach and picturesque harbour. The property is very spacious and is ideal for family gatherings and parties. The 7 seater hot tub is very popular with guest. The family room is located downstairs so suited to anyone with mobility issues. The studio is a self contained unit at the top of the garden with it's own bathroom and kitchen area. We welcome dogs too.

It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.

Set within 5 acres of it's own land and situated in the beautiful countryside of Wigtownshire, South West Scotland. We started this listing in 2013 but only put the bare essentials in.
