Cabin, Linda's house.

A wonderful stay! :) Linda is a very gracious and friendly host, she even came to meet me at the bus station! The accommodation was absolutely spotless, really close to the supermarket and the beach, and felt super safe and comfortable. 100% recommend!

Unfortunately, we were only there for a short time, but the place is very cool! View great and very close to the beach, restaurants, etc. Vincent was super nice, helpful and very flexible! We would love to come back anytime!

Luxury apartment, pool, AC, b/fast & evening meal

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

Hummingbird House

RogerRating, 5 stars15 months ago
Blanca you are the best. Thank you for your hospitality. A super nice environment right on the beach surrounded by the jungle. A small disadvantage, you can't go directly to the accommodation ancestors by car, but still have to walk about 15 minutes along the beach. But don't worry, Blanca supports you with her quat and drives all the luggage and everything else you have into the accommodation. She cooks very well and also organizes tours for you. We had the tour to the island of Caño for snorkeling and it was beautiful ( turtles, dolphins, mantas, stingrays and lots of colorful fish) Best regards, Blanca, we will be back ( maybe as early as August😊) Roger and Pamela

Scarlet House - Osa -Nature-Adventure-Ocean-Relax!

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was exactly what I had hoped for on our family vacation visiting the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado. We had an amazing time! Our stay was wonderful and we can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the hospitality and experiences that Justin, as well as Yeri and his family helped us to enjoy!

Awesome spot for relaxing and adventuring in the Costa Rican jungle and beach. We love love loved the porch overlooking the canopy and the ocean. We spent hours watching the birds (macaws, toucans, hummingbirds, tanagers, and more!) and listening to the sounds of the waves. Bring binoculars! The rooms are really nice with AC in every room, nice bathrooms and nice beds. The kitchen is great with everything you need to cook. There’s a restaurant and bar a few mins down the path if needed. We booked a night tour with Carlos, snorkeling tour, and day wildlife viewing tour with Adrian when we arrived. Susan arranged it all and it was amazing! We saw so much wildlife in the forest during the day and night, and had a great time snorkeling. Our six days at the place were wonderful and we highly recommend this spot. Please note there are two rivers to cross if you come by car. They were low enough to cross for us but it is a consideration depending on the season you book (rainy or dry).

Remote beachfront lodge near everything Osa!

LeeRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Jungle Retreat

PhilippeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had already been to François last year. Our stay was beautiful, relaxing and magical. If you like the jungle, nature and the feeling of being far from the rest of the world....this is the perfect place:) The Dulce Gulf is also a very special place....we took a boat trip with Osawild to see dolphins....and we had an extraordinary moment...A little jungle paradise or lots of species of birds and some monkeys naturally come to the property.

Beachfront Studio Cabin in 15 acre magical oasis

nathanielRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Absolutely amazing spot! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived ! The grounds were just gorgeous and full of wildlife! We loved the outdoor kitchen which is so roomy and lets you hear all the monkeys and birds! The kayaking near the place was fantastic! We had fun fishing and seeing all the mangroves! We can’t say enough good things about the hosts who cooked many delicious meals for us and were just generally amazing! Room was perfect and comfortable with great decks for looking out over the grounds! Just a wonderful experience in some of the best natural surroundings!

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It would be hard to adequately say how amazing Mark’s place is and how extraordinarily kind, welcoming, and generous of their time all the people who help with the visit are. We stayed for a week and loved every bit of it. Rayna helped us organize shuttles to and from the house, Simone met us at the grocery store to help shop on day 1, and Ruben met me us in town to boat up to the house. From there, Ruben was available every day to lead hikes or take us on the boat to fish, tour the mangroves or hang out at the beach. We chose to have Dolly make dinner each night and she was amazing. And Simone led us on a full day excursion to Cano Island. Beautiful bird watching right from the house and capuchin and howler monkeys found their way to the trees just outside. Our boys most loved to body surfing and swimming off the beach and the night hike. If you want to see the wildlife in Costa Rica and stay in a truly unique home, this is the place!

Azul Vista DrakeBay*New ACs/2br/2b~180*Ocean Views

SonjaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely stay at the house! The view and the surrounding forest lets you forget the steep hill. The trees with their berries and flowers atttact parakeets, toucans, motmots, hummingbirds, macaws, tanagers and many more. House is equipped with firm beds, 140cm wide (ok for two 1,80+m tall sons) with mosquito nets (didn't need then), good Wifi, towels and all you need for cooking. You have to bring water or boil+filter the tap water for drinking (filter provided). Aircons work great at night, during most days a breeze around the hill and through the screen windows helps. Dogs barking occasionally was no problem. It is very peacefull and relaxing. House and windows can be locked, we felt very safe for ourselves and our stuff. The next supermarket and beach is not far and at low tide one can easily walk along the beach to reach the main beach/ boats. Melan is a super host! Very friendly, caring and helpful, gave many advice, information and helped booking tours for us. Million tks!
