Blissful location for this tranquil getaway, originally a small stone farmhouse. Very pretty detached cottage, with six barns/out-buildings. Large gardens and parking for several cars, located off a super-quiet and tiny country lane. Last house on edge of a small village, which only has about a dozen houses in total. Absolutely STUNNING VIEWS from across the rolling hills (and from the rear patio). Totally quiet location, but only 200 metres scenic walk to centre of village and ancient church

Dating back to the 1700’s this servant’s cottage has been lovingly refurbished whilst still remaining true to its character with the addition of a modern compact but functional kitchenette it retains the original beams doors and fire place-plus a secret door to the servant staircase! This gite is tucked away right in the heart of this beautiful, rural, French village. A short 2 minute walk from the local bakery, butchers, supermarket, pharmacy, bank and bar/restaurant . Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The large living room comprising of lounge, kitchen and dinning areas with access to the patio for outdoor dining. On the ground floor there is also a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Upstairs off a large landing there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a large family room with a double bed and bunk beds with an en-suite bathroom. All rooms have views of the large gardens and countryside beyond.

We are well placed for Western Normandy and Eastern Brittany, with Mont-St-Michel ~1 hour away. There are shops and a restaurant nearby.

“Gîte de Pépé”, townhouse near the castle

“Le gîte de pépé” is a charming little house with an exterior. It has been fully renovated and equipped for you to have a comfortable stay. Ideal for 4, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Located in the small town of Lassay-les-Châteaux, voted 3rd favorite village of the French 2023, you will find a few meters from the medieval castle, all the useful shops as well as the tourist office. Many walks can be taken from the cottage.
