Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Badin Lake

I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We got Juan’s place for 2 nights and it was a great stay. The home was very clean and everything we needed was available in the home and kitchen . I am a cook and I usually have to stock up on spices and then end up leaving them because I don’t need them at home. But I was pleasantly surprised at the array of seasonings on the cabinet. (Might not mean much to many, but it’s the little things.) We had planned on getting out on the 2nd day, but we were having so much fun playing family games and enjoying the outdoor activities that we stayed at the Airbnb the entire time with the kids. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved this house! It felt brand new, it was super clean, well stocked and all the beds were comfortable. We’ve always dreamed of having a lake house of our own and this place just further intensified that vision! It felt SO quiet and private. I’ve stayed on other areas of HRL that felt much more congested with noisy neighbors where you are forced to hear someone else’s playlist all day. You won’t feel that here! The swimming right off the dock was so good. We rented a pontoon boat with a tube and pulled our teenage girls around for hours! The game room was perfect for when we got some afternoon rain. I’d definitely stay here again. Heather was very communicative. Check in/out was easy. I’m sure this is mentioned in the listing but it’s not a good place for anyone with mobility issues (lots of steep inclines to walk up). Though, we met our stair goals each day and are heading home with stronger calves!

We had a wonderful time there and the house is beautiful and it is very peaceful. I wish we had better luck fishing as the water is very low for about 100 ft out or so. But overall the stay was wonderful and the host is amazing and very proactive and easy to communicate with. We will be back later on in the year for sure.

I found this wonderful home to rent when I came to visit family. plenty of space, clean and situated in a peaceful area while still close to restaurants, shopping and attractions.

This little home is a gem! It’s a perfect getaway secluded in the beautiful NC wilderness. The outdoor area is great to drink coffee and listen to the birds or build a fire at night, the studio had everything we needed and was very cute. The area is decorated to be so whimsical and fun, and when you meet Cate it all makes sense! Cate is the most wonderful host in all ways imaginable. She was more than happy to help us with whatever we needed and was very generous. Cate’s care and intention for her sanctuary shines through her actions and her delicious food. We came to visit family and stay in a secluded air bnb, but we left with an experience, fellowship and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Cate!

Enjoyed every second there!! It was the peace I’ve longed for! My kids and parents had an amazing time.

We needed a place to stay for our family of 7 as we journeyed from Ohio to the beach. This was a far better option than trying to find hotel rooms. It was comfortable, clean, lots of room for boys to play, and they loved the four-legged greeter Rocko!

Stayed here for my bachelor trip, it fit all 8 of us very comfortably. The host was responsive and checked in the make sure we were doing good and everything was in order. Uber’s didn’t have issues finding us and the privacy was perfect for grilling out and back and cutting up by the fire pit.

Christie’s place has been exactly what I needed for lodging while working in the Asheboro area. Comfortable, clean, kitchen allows for meal prep. Peaceful, safe and quiet, while still accessible for walking to local coffee shops and restaurants.

Jane was wonderful to communicate with. Our stay was amazing, and she was very accommodating to our needs or requests even prior to booking. She had everything you need, plenty of sleep space, and CLEAN! If you need a nice peaceful weekend getaway, dont hesitate to book!

Michael's place was quiet and comfy. Very friendly and helpful when we had anything that we needed. The pool table was a fun amenity.

Our stay was fantastic. The host was very accommodating and it was SAFE most of all!!! If you want a home away from home this place is your choice.

Really awesome basement apartment! There were swan folded towels and a bottle of wine waiting for us. The sauna & spas were really nice!

This apartment was just as described! I was in town for my son's Parents' Weekend at HPU and I booked this spot for my husband and me to stay. My husband got sick at the last minute, so I was so thankful to have a place that felt cozy and safe for my time there alone. They really do have everything that you could think of! I felt right at home and even fell asleep (for a little while) on the couch with the cozy throw blankets. The bed was super-comfortable with soft sheets. I did not hear any noises from the upstairs home. The street parking is well-lit and I had no problem parking right by the walkway to the entrance. Everything was very clean! The bathroom was newly renovated and I particularly liked the wall heater and the cute basketweave tile. There was a lovely basket of snacks on my arrival and even a bottle of wine from a local winery! I hope that my husband will be able to join me at the Carolina Cottage on our next visit to HPU! Thanks for letting me stay!
