Katherine and Steven were excellent hosts. We had to reach out only once during the stay and they were extremely responsive and helpful. The location is beautiful and our family took full use of their hot tub, propane fireplace, open concept home and beautiful views. Catan was available to play and our kids spent hours chilling out and playing the game together. The only thing I would have wanted to know beforehand is that the walk back to the house from the river required an up-hill walk, which something not everyone in my family were able to do due to health/mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is exactly as the listing says. Its clean and the beds are super comfy. It's so cute, it reminds me of my grandmas house. The hot tub was so hot, and didn't lose any heat while we were in it and it was super clean. We will definitely be back.

I love this cute cottage. It was such a lovely location, very private but close to so many hikes. She also had a book with everything you need to know about the area (resturants, hikes, activities etc). So helpful for non locals. I highly recommend staying here and will stay here again myself. She also responded to messages right away which was a plus. Thanks again for a great place to stay.

Beautiful location and beautiful cottage. Pristine condition and everything a person needs to settle in. We came prepared with our own items but they have provided many things. It is set up to have an experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Get some lobster and relax!

We rented all 5 for a work event. Everyone loved the cottages and all want to return. Beautiful pristine cottages , excellent for accessing Cabot , which some of the group did. Cottages have everything you need and more. So cozy , modern and clean We have been fortunate enough to do many team events and everyone agrees this was one of the best. So private yet so close to all the activities the town has to offer. Do not hesitate to stay here. It is my second time and now trying to arrange a 3rd friends group in the fall. It is amazing and you will not be disappointed!

I would highly recommend. Kristy's place. It is very private with your own access to the lake. There is lots to do with canoes, lifesjackets, and washertoss games available. Or you can just relax on the back deck and enjoy the view.

Our stay was fantastic! The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We had to check in at their charming pub nearby, which caught my eye with its beautiful exterior. It was undergoing renovations and we couldn’t dine in, but the hosts kindly offered us takeout. The food was delicious, and they even hand-delivered it to our Airbnb, which was a nice touch! The view from the cottage was amazing, and nothing beats enjoying it from the hot tub. I have no complaints at all! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Macloud Cove. My niece and nephews enjoyed playing in the water. I enjoyed drinking tea on the deck. Everyone enjoyed how close it was to the Cabot Trail and Sydney. It was lovely. Highly recommend it.

Lovely location - even though it was cool, we made a point of sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful view. (Which we could also appreciate as soon as we woke in the morning). We had one very minor issue with the toilet and Janet responded immediately to resolve it.

What an amazing find on the Cabot Trail! The location is rural and views amazing! Vincent was so helpful. Just make sure you take all the provisions you need as it’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest shop. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend to.

We loved our stay at Ashley and Glen’s AirBnB. It is in a beautiful location with an absolutely gorgeous view of the water. The sunrises were glorious from the sunroom, which is set up with a great little coffee station. The cottage was well furnished and very nicely decorated with lovely antiques and older nautical artifacts. The bed is very comfortable and we got great sleeps while there. While we didn’t get much chance to use the kitchen as we were there to visit local friends, it is very well appointed and would be very easy to make your own meals. The living room area was very cozy at night for watching Netflix and I appreciated the diffuser and candles that were on hand. Ashley and Glen welcomed us to bring our two labs and were gracious about that which was much appreciated. There is a great waterfront trail for walking the dogs right outside the door. We can’t wait to return!

Terri’s place was very clean and easy to find. Exactly as mentioned in ad…. I would like to visit again if I get opportunity again. She was quick in responding to any queries that we had. Thanks

Great relaxing stay! Cottage was private with a beautiful garden overlooking the ocean. Ton was a wonderful host.

We absolutely loved this location! The Chalet was just perfect-and convenient to Cape Breton Highlands National Park. We were very close to the Co-op grocery store, in town dining, our whale watch tour, and local shops as well. We loved having a washer and dryer in the house, the beds were super cozy, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. We felt very safe and enjoyed the view. We would definitely stay here again-great place!

I wanted a place to unwind and chill with my dog out of the city and this is the place. I really enjoyed the calmness. I cant wait to go back!!

Michael’s place was beautiful and had an amazing scenery. He was so accommodating to our needs and extra helpful. I would definitely recommend this place as a quiet and scenic getaway place and would sure love to visit again! Stunning place and hospitable host!!

We had a great time! The place is so cute and feels very private :) The hosts left a booklet with a ton of great suggestions for local trails etc. Would totally stay here again!

A very relaxing homey place and a lovely porch with view of the sunset over the mountain. Lovely short walk to the bridge and friendly folk who passed by. Had everything we needed and more. The quality of the cutlery and dishes and the amount and variety of the "Basics" available was impressive.

This was our 2nd stay and it was even better then the first, and only cause the weather was better. Both times, the place was clean, quiet and exactly as listed. Even was able to have a nice campfire as Tanya provided wood pellets and a firepit. Top notch all the way. I would recommend any of the 3 Caper Cottages for anyone looking to explore Cape Breton or just looking for even a weekend getaway. Will def be going back for a 3rd stay at some point. oh and the baby geese were ADORABLE!!!

Everything at the cottage was fantastic; we felt right at home. There were eight of us, and the house had enough space for us all and enough bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the appliances that you need. It was a great stay, and I recommend it to anyone

This is easily one of the nicest places my family has stayed. Beautiful surroundings and just an amazing location and view. Super close to town and CBHNP. Eric and Von were extremely responsive and helpful as well. Also they had literally everything you might need in the house from kitchen items and seasonings and staples to games, books, sporting and outdoor equipment. Would highly recommend!!!

We had a fantastic time at the Doyle Beach House! Staying there was the perfect way for us to end our Nova Scotia trip as it offered a a great place to relax and as a base for us to explore Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail. The beach is at the bottom of the garden and was perfect for our children with calm shallows and soft sand but also with areas of stones for exploring. The location of the property is perfect for access to the beach at anytime of the day for walks and play and is also a short drive away from restaurants and grocery stores. The sunsets are amazing either from the deck or even from inside and watching over the water was a nightly routine. We couldn’t recommend this property and the hosts more and would love to return in the future.

We had a great stay. Very comfortable and clean. Felt right at home. Did not want to leave. Would highly recommend Gloria’s place.
