Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Back Bay, Boston

We had a fantastic stay at Johnny’s place. The house is great - comfortably enough space for a family of 4 and well configured, well-located 5 mins walk from great coffee shops and restaurants in Charlestown and only 20 mins walk from the North End and central Boston. Johnny was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!

Clean, cozy, and comfortable. Daily cleaning was a nice touch. Quiet East Boston neighborhood with quick access to the T and buses. Hosts were attentive. Felt a bit like a hostel with other rooms in the house, but everything was peaceful and well-kept. Great stay!

Great space and location. Marie was accommodating, lending us her high chair, parking pass, and working with the cleaners to allow us to check in a little early. Would absolutely stay again.

My husband and I had a lovely couple of nights at Siena's. The room was very clean, well equipped, and quiet. Martin and Siena were very accommodating, brought me an iron and ironing board when we asked. We were in Boston for just a couple of days for a wedding and this was a perfect location for us. We could easily walk to many places such local cafes and coffee shops, (highly recommend Mike's Donuts!) and to the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stuart Gardener Museum, as well as to two different T lines, the orange and the green. We took Martin up on his suggestion of walking up the hill to the top of the mission hill park and had a lovely view of Boston Harbour. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Boston!

Excellent. The place is a rooming house with several bedrooms and two baths. Full kitchen and off street parking, but call ahead to reserve yourself a spot. There was ample street parking when I got there at 6:30. Super clean, comfortable bed in room 3, and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the pike. I will definitely stay here again.

I had an amazing stay at Juan Carlos’s place. He responded immediately and was very helpful whenever I needed anything. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped with all the utilities you could possibly need. The apartment is located in a quiet, nice neighborhood and everything was spotlessly clean. It’s within walking distance to Harvard Business School and probably also to MIT. There’s also a Whole Foods just a 5-minute walk away. The place was easy to access, very comfortable, and felt safe at all times. Juan Carlos is a super friendly host. I had a late flight and he kindly let me check out an hour later without any problem. I’d definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again!

Hospitable host. Made sure breakfast was available every day. The place is beautiful, well decorated. It made me want to stay longer. Donnell is great to talk to, respectful of your privacy, and available if you need anything. I had a great time.

We loved how close the place was to the T. Easy to get into Boston in less than 20 minutes! Great place if you're looking to explore Cambridge and Boston.

We loved this clean, bright and spacey apartment in Back Bay/near Fenway. We walked to different neighborhoods like Fenway, Beacon Hill, Back Bay and Boston Commons from there- easy access to everything. The bed was comfortable and the space was great a for a few nights. We’d look to book again when we come back!

Kemi was a wonderful host and this place is superb! Everything exceeded our expectations. It was about a 10-minute walk to the train to get into Boston, which was perfect. And coming in from the rain to a welcoming, cozy home was the best. We hope to stay here whenever we may come to the area again! Thank you so much for the special touches and everything, Kemi!

David’s apartment in Cambridge exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It was incredibly homey, comfortable, and clean. The location is wonderful and walkable to lots of spots in the neighborhood. David was also incredibly responsive and proactive in communicating with us. I already can’t wait to stay again!

This spot is lovely. It is an apartment inside of a really nice apartment building. Check-in is facilitated by a lockbox where you get your key fob, which gives you access to the building and the apartment itself. Some of the communication felt a bit weird (we were asked not to wait in the lobby until check-in time to maintain a "homey feel," which is bizarre because I would think that hanging out in the lobby PROMOTES a "homey feel." The kitchen is well stocked with equipment (plates, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, etc) but nothing to cook with (spices, salt, pepper, oil). Parking is included and there are (paid) electric chargers in the parking garage, which is really great if you have an electric car. The price is definitely on the expensive side.

Perfect place for Brookline area. As described. Beds are comfortable. Pristine condition. Jan is an awesome communicator and accommodating. Extremely happy! I’ll stay again when in the area as my first choice. 6 stars out of 5.

Stay here! First, location. Right on Beacon in the Back Bay, and a quick walk to Newbury where there are so many restaurants and shops! Uber is always available and quick! Second, the Airbnb itself is just perfect for a Boston visit. Big beautiful bay windows facing gorgeous Beacon street, clean and comfortable and they thought of everything! Raining? Umbrella in the closet. Sleep at home with a fan? Box fan in the closet. Feet cold? Hotel slippers for guests! Just every little thing you need - even snacks and bottled water. The host was in touch on a regular basis checking on our needs and responsive if we reached out. We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you for everything!

I had an emergent change of plans so could not complete my stay. However, we chose Lee's Airbnb because of the amazing location, well appointed space, and impeccable reviews. If his communication and organization is any indication, I'm sure the rest of the stay would be top notch. Next time I'm there for the ballet, I will book again.

We stayed at this apartment during graduation week. It was well furnished and comfortable for 3 people. Management is very responsive. The location is a 4 min walk to the nearest bus stop which we appreciated. Overall would stay again.

This was such a charming place in a wonderful location. Griffin and Carolyn were responsive and took really good care of us. They are great hosts who we highly recommend and would book with again!

This was the perfect location to enjoy the South End, and an easy walk everywhere (Copley, Prudential, Newbury Street). The place was comfortable and had everything we needed especially the fireplace on very cold May days. Leslie was incredibly responsive even on her special celebration weekend!!

This place is an absolute Gem! Great location and Phil was amazing, friendly and so very welcoming. Would stay here again and highly recommended!!! There was 4 of us and it was perfect. The amenities were great. Beautiful home in a fantastic neighborhood.

Chandra is an amazing host; she was very responsive and helpful when we were looking for something to do on our rainy last day. She also supplied umbrellas, which we could not have done without! The place is even cuter in person; it's updated and has a cozy vibe and a nice record player with a good album selection and lots of cool art made by Chandra! My favorite is the Mr. T sculpture! The keypads on the inside and outside building doors are very convenient and simpler to use than having to carry a key. Nice newer shower and comfortable bed. Large kitchen, comfy couch, and just a cute, interestingly decorated apartment. The rooftop patio is so nice...it's got a grill and 360 views. I wish the weather had been nicer so we could have hung out there more. Not really close to many bars or restaurants, but an easy walk to the train station or the bike rentals and a 30-minute (ish) walk to the Fenway Park area. I would stay there again; it felt like home.

Our stay was wonderful, our hosts were communicative, and I would be more than happy to return. The unit was immaculately cleaned upon our arrival. The living room and kitchen are incredibly spacious - more so than I would have thought from the pictures. The outdoor spaces provide nice fresh air, and everything else is as advertised. But, sometimes, it's the little things that make an AirBnB. I took time each day to recover with a nice sauna. They have the things that hosts normally don't provide but everyone needs - aluminum foil, saran wrap, ziploc baggies, extra blankets, extra towels, and more. The shower that I used was great. Good water pressure. Good HVAC and water temp. Great natural light. Keyless entry, meaning no "who gets the keys" juggling. No ridiculous checkout expectations. So many "good AirBnB" boxes checked. :) The location is great to either explore East Boston (which has its own charm I wasn't aware of) or to get downtown. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Konrad ‘s place is simply unbeatable for the price location and the sheer size and comfort of this loft It’s walkable to almost everywhere. It’s extremely safe. It’s few steps down to Chinatown. And you could easily walk to Newbury Street For me the best part of Konrad ‘s loft was the space. Airy and bright. A wonderful kitchen. Konrad himself was extremely responsive to any queries I had. Don’t think twice this is where you need to stay in Boston. Was super sad to leave.

It was great overall! Nice little area in Boston. Quiet at night and was easy to find with great instruction from the host! We parked in the Clarendon Parking Garage for the night and it was a quick walk.
