We really enjoyed our stay — the place is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting. It’s surrounded by nature, which makes it ideal if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing escape. A couple of things to keep in mind: having a car is definitely recommended, as the property is about 30 minutes from downtown Bacalar. Getting around without transportation could be a bit difficult. Also, the house has an open-space design — there are no doors or fully enclosed rooms — so sound travels easily, and you’ll likely hear everything going on in other areas. Just something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise or traveling with a group. That said, the service was excellent. The hosts were extremely kind and responsive. They allowed us to leave our luggage well before check-in and even gave us wristbands to access a nearby balneario, which was a lovely surprise. Overall, it’s a wonderful place with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely stay again!

Amazing stay, with amazing hosts, and amazing staff. We had a wonderful time and felt like we had everything we needed right there at the spot. Amazing meals, amazing massage, and an amazing kayak trip across the lagoon! Hoping to return!

The accommodation corresponds to the description and expectations. There is the option to bring the car into the gated and secure yard. The proximity to the lagoon and the city center, everything can be done on foot. The small house is independent from the other houses around, which is its charm. I would recommend it without problem

DO 👏 NOT 👏 MISS 👏 OUT 👏 ON 👏 THIS 👏 PLACE!! I serendipitously found Jacqui's studio and am SO glad I was flexible with my travel dates so I could come stay here. The Burrow is truly SUCH a magical little nook right at the water's edge. It feels very private, while also having easy access to everything. Jacqui was an incredible hostess, and I feel really blessed to have spent some time getting to know her & her story during my stay. Bacalar is such a hidden gem, and I can absolutely see myself coming back here again!

I hesitated for a long time before putting a positive review in order to keep this place valuable to us but hey they deserve so much! It was a beautiful stay, in an amazing setting, facing the lagoon, with dock and kayaks available. The true spirit of an Airbnb, in a local's home, with a great welcome from Gloria and Olivier. Provide a car to get to the city center. Thanks again!

Great place! Just a short walk from the beach and what to say from the sunsets. We will be back soon to enjoy the stars. Great hosts

Value for money , it is an apartment to stay and enjoy Tulum I found it clean and comfortable as we were only 3 people and we only occupied it for sleeping and showering everything is close by so you can walk to the lagoon near the spa and the plaza as well also good restaurants nearby I recommend Bamoa y Masa Madre Beware of the flies in Bacalar to have repellent on hand and if you leave the door open in the apartment buy insecticide is worth 70 pesos and you remove the problem

Execelente stay, my partner and I were very nice, everything was very clean, the blankets smelled clean and rich, a very clean kitchen, fast internet, Paola was very attentive and with very feasible recommendations, I had lost Paola to support me with a detail for my partner on her birthday and I was fascinated, I would definitely return to this place , Thank you Paola .

Our stay was very nice, the place is very quiet and has a very nice view. Everything clean, it has everything you need, and the location is good. Alejandrina is very attentive and was always there for us. Highly recommended.
