Lovely, very clean, modern, spacious. A well thought out design for a bit of luxury at the end of your day of exploring. Amazing views. Highlights nearby: beautiful woodland 1km North of Strachur and the view from the TV mast, ‘The Smiddy’ and the friendly people who told us about great walks, a boat trip on the loch and amazing food at ’Inver’. Bring kitchen consumables. You will need a car to get to delis/supermarkets, but there are a couple of small shops in Strachur.

We booked this place for a family get together and we could not have had a better time. The house is beyond expectations and was very spacious for our large family. The facilities and rooms were well equipped and very clean. Lots of amenities were available. Susan and her mother came to visit us and they were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we asked them. The location, views, rooms and the host are all 5 stars. I definitely will be coming here again and would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

Cannot fault this place at all. Perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 wee ones. So roomy and spacious, very well kept. And loved all the wee extra bits and bobs in the kitchen! Perfect location for the centre of Ayr/beach and we managed to get out 2 cars in the back driveway perfectly and 1 out the front. We would definitely return back here on any future trips to Ayr.

Gertie was always very responsive, flexible with check in and checkout which was great for us travelling a long way, overall worth the money we paid as a group!

Quiet and peaceful accommodation in a nice neighborhood. Less than 1/2 mile from restaurants and a grocery store, so very convenient for walking. Good base location for sightseeing to Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies, possible Stirling sites as well. We ventured out to Linlithgow Palace and Rosslyn Chapel from here. The villa is back off the street and attached to the owner's home (like an annex, except no direct connection) but was very private. Parking is right out front of the villa. The neighborhood streets are narrow with lots of cars parked on the street, which was a challenge for us with a medium size SUV and little experience with driving on the left side of the road, but we did OK! Bed was good and water pressure was great.

This was perfect for what we needed, and was just as described. The hosts were very quick in their response when we needed something in the house that we couldn't find. The house was warm and cosy, plenty of crockery, and bits and pieces like tea and coffee, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and so on. A great stay. Thanks!

What a wonderful place to stay, right on the beach and with lots of room for friends / family. Very well furnished and high quality. A perfect location either for the golf or just for a few days enjoying Troon. Thanks, June!

We had a brilliant stay at Claire’s lodge at Cameron House. Location was spot-on, and the kids loved all the activities that were available to them, especially the swimming pool, and the park. Lodge was a perfect size for a small family, and Claire was excellent in the lead-up, during, and after our stay, answering any questions and offering local recommendations, and various discounts etc. We will definitely be back!
