In the foothills of the Ore Mountains, not far from Karlovy Vary and Klínovec, we have transformed a historic barn into a unique space for shared moments, peace and relaxation. The location is great for trips to the mountains (Jáchymov, Boží Dar or Oberwiesenthal) as well as for exploring the surrounding area. A generous common area awaits you with views of the countryside, a fireplace, a long table for shared breakfasts and dinners, a sauna (from 09/2026), and two separate bedrooms. We have a hot tub available on the terrace (use for an additional fee).

The hostel Fuchs und Hase, quiet and charming

Our hostel Fuchs und Hase is located in Oberjugel, a scattered settlement belonging to Johanngeorgenstadt, directly on the border with the Czech Republic. At an altitude of 850 m, pure nature, tranquility, unadulterated mountain meadows and many hiking and cycling trails await you. In winter, the Jugelloipe starts right behind the house with connection to the Kammloipe and Czech ski highway. Several ski slopes can be reached quickly by car. We are happy to provide tips.

Welcome to the rooftops of Schneeberg. Our attic suite is not a standard room – it is a small piece of the Erzgebirge with character. Here, cozy wood meets design, daylight meets evening sun and history meets new comfort. The suite offers a spacious bedroom with parquet flooring, a private sauna and a large roof terrace – perfect for quiet hours, the first coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset over the city. This suite ‘Zauberlehrling’ is unique and unrivalled in Aue and the Ore Mountains. It is probably one of the most exclusive flats in the region. Our cozy vacation home is centrally located in the beautiful mountain mining community of Bad Schlema. Bad Schlema is known for its pain-relieving radon cures. Of course, you can also use our well-known health spa and sauna for vacation and wellness. Hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists will get their money's worth here in the Erzgebirge in every way. You can also familiarize yourself with the mining history of the Western Erzgebirge here.
