One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

North Brae Cottage, Staxigoe

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway which is nestled above the historic Staxigoe Harbour. The cottage would suit a family or group of like minded people looking for amazing sea views and nature on their doorstep. Staxigoe is the ideal place for cold water swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. The beach behind the stack is the perfect place to look for shells or find hidden sea glass. Alternatively, simply relax in the sun lounge - you never know, you might see an orca!

Newly self-contained chalet with double bed and small double sofa for family of 4 or 3 adults! Surrounded by open countryside and stunning sea views, this is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday exploring Caithness beaches, brochs and breweries or for an active holiday sea-swimming, surfing and hill-walking. Self contained chalet with own key so you can come and go as you please, but owners are on hand to help with any queries and suggestions needed to make your stay memorable.

The Old Smiddy, Huna, John O'Groats

Close to the village of John O' Groats and on the North Coast 500, the Old Smiddy (an old blacksmith's cottage) has been beautifully restored into a modern home, while keeping many of its original features. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite) and has a fold-away camp bed for use by a small child. The cottage offers beautiful sea views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands and is the perfect base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney.

Hillside Camping Pods - Morven Pod NC500

Morven Pod is situated next to Stroma Pod in the rural village of Auckengill in Caithness, five miles south of John O'Groats. Morven Pod has sea and countryside views. The shower block is just a few steps away and Morven Pod has it's own shower, toilet and sink within the block so no shared facilities! All bedding and towels are provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast cereals. One small or medium size dog is allowed. We do not have WiFi.

This is one of the nicest houses in Thurso. it is located only five minutes from the centre of town and is a perfect base for enjoying the city and surrounding countryside. There is a private driveway and free off-street parking for up to 6 cars. This beautiful house has a full kitchen and dining area, a spacious living room and five bedrooms. There is also a stunning, 3 acre, award-winning garden. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. 10 guests 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms

Seal Cottage, South Ronaldsay, Orkney

Stone Cottage situated on the Southern Tip of Orkney and located in a rural location and only 80 metres from the sea. It is a former croft with the original 100+ year old fireplace but with a modern interior. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and living room, double bedroom and shower room. It has a small garden and outdoor double seat. Parking is close to the property. You can walk along the coast where there is also a sandy beach. No pets permitted.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.
