Mont St Michel is just under an hour & the WWII beaches are 1.5 hrs away. Just down the road is a family friendly entertainment park open in summer months only. Plus wonderful orchards to visit for a calvados tasting.

Notre gite 'Les Saules' fait parti de notre corps de ferme, classé 'site remarquable'. Il donne sur notre étang avec ses saules. Vous seriez au calme entouré de pommiers, moutons et poules. La 'Suisse Normande' est bien situé pour visiter Caen, Mont St Michel, les plages de débarquement et Honfleur. On a aussi une salle de jeux sur place avec tennis de table, billard et fléchettes. Welcome to Gite Des Roses, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. One dog allowed per stay. 2 on request. Dogs to be kept on a lead in garden. Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

Enjoy a bright townhouse with the option to park a vehicle in front of the house or in the nearby parking lot. All shops within walking distance (bakeries, butchers, tobacconists, grocery stores... see my guide), bus station and SNCF. Very well-equipped accommodation. Flexible schedule only on request except on Sundays. Refund requests for cancellations outside of the terms are no longer negotiable.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This house was renovated in the porch of a farm dating from 1671 with eco-materials (lime, hemp, wood). Ideally located to visit the Alpes Mancelles (8 km), the Ecouves Forest (5 km) or the charming town of Alençon (10 km). In the countryside, but not far from the village where all the shops and services are located.
