Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Athens

Our home unfortunately flooded and I was completely distraught since my husband was out of town. I reached out to this place on the lake to see if we could stay that same night since our home was being torn apart. Danelle responded right away and we were able to check in within a couple hours of booking. What a relief! We booked 4 nights since that was what was available. Then, when their weekend booking canceled, she reached out to me immediately and offered for us to stay through the weekend. We very much needed that since our home was still being worked on. The home had everything we could possibly need including things we didn’t need but it was nice to have (sonic ice? Heck yes!). The lake was exactly what we needed after all we had been through. The kids loved the kayaks and jumping off the docks! The roof deck was perfect for laying out in the sun. We had all the beach towels we needed and the couch was super comfy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Buffalo Inn. 10/1

Our stay in Tyler was nothing short of perfect! The home is nestled in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just minutes from some of the best restaurants and shops in town. The location truly couldn’t be better for exploring everything Tyler has to offer. The host was incredibly responsive and made us feel welcome from the moment we booked, always quick to answer questions and provide helpful local tips. What really set this home apart were the spa-like amenities—the private sauna and hot tub turned our getaway into a true relaxation experience. After a day out, unwinding in the hot tub or sauna made us feel like we were at a luxury spa. We can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of indulgence in Tyler!

Charlene's place was perfect for our anniversary weekend. Her communication was great, and you can tell she truly cares about her guests. The house was comfortable, well decorated and exceptionally clean....not even a stray dust bunny under the bed!

Alberto was very friendly and responded quickly to question. The accommodations were very nice. Beautiful and well supplied with what we needed. Spotless!

This place was perfect for a long weekend with family. The views and outdoor spaces were exceptional. The hosts were amazing! We had an issue with the coffee maker and they had a new one there within the hour! Our family had a blast fishing, swimming, and enjoying the paddle boats! There was plenty of space for our group of 10.

Amazing serenity, natural beauty and relaxation! Loved the decks, watching the waterbirds, grilling and just being. There's something very soothing to the soul to be away from all the energy and being surrounded by peaceful nature! And still just be 10 minutes to the places like Walmart, groceries fast food etc. The Best of both worlds! The house was very comfortable, clean and had plenty to keep you busy from games, to television etc. Host Charley was responsive to communication and friendly.. He's has a real slice of paradise! Thank you for sharing it!

This is the third time we have rented this house and won't be the last.. It is perfect for family gatherings. Something for all ages and interests. The hosts are always spot on. Great location close to everything but back away from the road to feel private.

Our stay was heaven. This was the most peaceful vacation I have ever taken AND we have five kids. 😂 I could not have imagined a better place. Our hosts were super responsive to any questions and the house/location was a dream. Would recommend 10/10!

We really enjoyed our stay! Our family has property on Lake Palestine right around the corner to visit with family during the day. It was very convenient and comfortable to come to each night for a peaceful night. I really like the natural products provided for us - hand soap, lotion and cleaning spray. Our host responded quickly to some minor needs. We plan to stay here next time we are in the area.

Such a cute place and nice to split up a small group for privacy purposes. 10/10 will be using them in the future.

Kevin and Debra were super accommodating and were very responsive! They even supplied us with a pack and play for our 6 month old so it would be one less thing for us to pack. We enjoyed our stay at there house and will book with them again down the line for our next lake trip

Beyond my expectations! This is a once in a lifetime find of a gem. From the host to the destination, you will not be disappointed. The hospitality is akin to a book - you know the ones you read and say to yourself, "I wish that type of place exited!". It all began with Bill. He checked on the progress of our journey to Mineola, Tx which completely surprised me. He was there when we arrived, helped to get us into our room, and - best of all- he gave us a guided tour and history of the property. Guys, there is so much detail, thought, and comfort that goes into this magical place. Talk about exotic, rich, and comfortable! Never ever would I have thought my weekend would be so relaxing and thrilling all that the same time. We even had the pleasure of sharing some amazing rescue pups that make your stay feel like home - no, they do not enter your lodgings. In the words of my teenage daughter, "It is perfect!" I would stay here over and over! Don't miss out on your chance of a lifetime!

Such a cozy and homey stay! I had everything I needed for a relaxing weekend. The location is secluded, which made it feel like I was going offline—a peaceful break I really enjoyed. While cell signal is limited, their Wi-Fi works perfectly once connected. Highly recommend staying here, and if I’m ever back in town, I’d love to rebook!

Absolutely beautiful places!! Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy it. Completely 5 star accommodations. We’d gladly love to come back again.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Absolutely beautiful setting with so many activities to enjoy. The pool and hot tub area are beautiful and kept very clean. The 1 bedroom park model we stayed in was very clean and decorated so cute. It had everything you would need plus more! We rented a UTV and enjoyed all the trails they have to offer. The staff are amazing and always willing to answer any questions or give any suggestions that you need. Ron was amazing during our entire stay. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect!! I cannot wait to go back!!

The wife and pups really enjoyed our stay on the property feels so peaceful and relaxing, with plenty to do if you are outdoors type. Fishing and nature is abundant! Feels like you are off the grid , but town is only 15 minutes away for anything you will need.The cabin is built right into the property with a dock right outside the door and a boat as well.Really recommend checking this out if you like what you see.

This home is absolutely beautiful! My family and I love nature and this home exceeded our expectations. we felt right at home. This home is suitable for those who love the outdoor experience. Nearby Trinity River, Richard Chambers Lake and much more! This home will be our to go home each time we visit to do our Gar fishing and lake adventures 😀.

Look no further!! My family and I have stayed in several homes on this street, this one is by far the best. Leslie was very easy to work with, very accommodating, and very friendly. The house is perfect for a weekend getaway.
