Beachfront holiday rental in Askøy

This is a wonderful cottage and the view was just as beautiful as the pictures make it look. Everything was clean and the kitchen was perfect to cook and chill out too. Only thing to note, if you use public transport than you are a good hour outside of Bergen. The buses go regularly but it takes a while to get into Bergen, where most activities start from. It worked out for me as I wanted to do a bit more relaxing and slow travel. Also there is nice hiking around. But for some this might be a bit far from the hustle and bustle of Bergen, if that is what you are looking for.

Very nice host, who is easy to communicate with. The place was really nice and walking distance to what one would want to see on the island. Absolutely recommend and happy to take the trip out there again at a later date :)

Lovely place! Simple standard, but you have what you need. The garden and the dock are what makes the place magical. Waking up to birds chirping and boats instead of traffic. A good place to find peace.

Great location. Perfect to relax and be active, floating sauna was great! hiking, kayaking, boat rental. All possible close by. The apartment has a great view, and everything you need to make it a memorable stay.

Wonderful peace and enjoyment of nature. Cozy cottage with a lovely fireplace. Also nice that the beds were made and there was plenty of linen available. Furthermore, Bjarte was a nice host who is easily accessible even on weekends. And thanks again for the delicious plums from your own garden!

It does not have easy access because you have to walk from the parking, but the instructions were very clear with photos of everything. It was so easy to access like this. Everything is clean and complies with everything it advertises. Responds quickly. Beautiful place!

Our family had a truly wonderful time during our stay. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The property and surroundings offered amazing views and was extremely quiet and peaceful. The property was perfectly located for our family to enjoy the tranquility of the location as well as close enough to the city for activities. Ole Petter was a wonderful host, always responsive to any questions we had and more than happy to provide recommendations to help us enjoy our stay.

We had a really relaxing stay at the cabin with the nicest view :) Marius was very precise and detailed in his descriptions and always open for any questions - in total great communication. An amazing opportunity if you are around Bergen to spend a rainy fall weekend where you just want to read your book while looking out the window seeing a wavy sea and colorful trees around but probably even nicer in the summer when you can dip more often into the water and spend most of the time at the balcony. Veronica’s home was beautiful and more than described. Even with somewhat rainy weather we enjoyed her home fully. Our 5 year old daughter was ready to move in after only one day 😂 with all of the fun both inside and outside the space. The house is beautifully lived in and loved. The views and hosts were top notch.

We were in Norway for the first time and enjoyed it very much. The house of the landlords is located on a fjord with great views. The house is spacious and there is everything you need in a week. 3 minutes away is a bus stop, from there you can get to Bergen in less than half an hour; have only used the car once for shopping. The landlords were always available via the app, were helpful and very friendly. This place is definitely recommended

Great stay! The apartment is very large and has everything you need. The location is fantastic, right by the sea with a beautiful terrace. We rented the boat, the weather was perfect and everything was well explained. Our highlight was that we were allowed to catch the crab nets with Jarle, and in the evening we also had the caught crabs for dinner.

Torvald and Kari Ann’s property was amazing. Loved the style of the house in a peaceful and relaxing location. Fantastic sea and mountain views. Either a 2 minute walk to the bus stop or 5 minute walk to the excellent pedestrian ferry to easily access Bergen centre. The house had everything you need and more in terms of inside and out seating areas to enjoy the amazing views. Amenities are close by with an excellent supermarket across three minute walk away and fuel stations a few hundred meters along the road. Restaurants in Kleppestø are limited but that’s easily solved with a short bus/ferry ride into Bergen. In summary, we enjoyed a fabulous 5 day stay here and would recommend it to folks who want to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Bergen but then need some relaxation time away. I would also say Torvald is an absolute gentleman and he was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a great stay with Ingrid and Per. We received a lot of useful information about hiking routes at check-in. Communication was very easy. Our hosts were extremely friendly. A very cozy home to unwind and feel good! We will be happy to come back.

A beautiful property with magnificient views come rain or shine. It is well located for local sightseeing & close to a mini supermarket. Rakel was a delighful, yet discrete host.
