Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Arugam Bay

We had a great stay! The sea is almost at your doorstep :) Check in - and out went smoothly. Always happy to come back.

Our stay at Footprints was really special and felt like a real break from our lives in busy Galle. We arrived after dark, and had the treat of waking up to the view of the sea from our room, the jungle, a stunning sunrise and a surprisingly cool breeze. We stayed within the property for most of the weekend, relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. We loved walking on the beach, finding shells and my son loved climbing the rocks at the end of the beach next to the surf break. We paid extra for full board and ate three delicious meals a day prepared by Akila’s caretakers - all really tasty, thoughtfully prepared and attention given to my sons special requests. Akila and his caretakers are excellent hosts. Extremely kind, caring and attentive. We really enjoyed living a simpler life for the weekend, in a true haven away from it all. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay somewhere which feels so secret, special and peaceful.

5 star place, would recommend to anyone, its location is literally a 30 second walk from the beach and is close to all the bars and restaurants. The host is so nice and will answer any questions you have. Great value for money, cannot wait to go back!

As soon as you walk through the gate, you can feel a completely different climate. It is a beautiful piece of land that is maintained with a lot of love. All the staff are very welcoming and nice. Everyone helps and cares super well about one. We had a great time at the place and enjoyed every day and every contact. You can observe a lot of nature and animals in the area. It's close to the nearest surf spot. The food offered to you is very varied and super delicious! Requests will be addressed at any time. We highly recommend the place!!

Such a beautiful stay with the most wonderful staff and service - the breakfast is amazing!!

Fantastic location to explore arugam bay, everything is easily walkable and it’s a great place especially if you’re into surfing and beach bars. The rooms were clean and AC worked well. We were a group of 7 so we had 4 rooms booked and all of us were happy. Breakfast included is just across the road in another cafe, as I’m gluten free there weren’t any options for me but all my friends ate there every day and were really happy with the food. The only negative was having to fill in a form on arrival when we’d already booked and paid through Airbnb, but with a quick call to the owner this was quickly sorted and we were shown to our rooms. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Arugam. The rooms are basic with double bed, mosquito net, AC and en-suite but really this is all we needed for a great stay.
