We love staying in accommodation with some quirks, so the history of the Tower of Glenstrae really drew us in. The setting is just wonderful, with amazing views of Loch Awe right on your doorstep and private access to the nearest train station, which is quaint and cute (not to mention convenient). We were able to visit Oban, Inveraray and some smaller towns within a short drive. Although the weather made it difficult to travel locally on foot, we were happy to spend our nights curled up in the living room looking at the Loch.

It was very easy to find and in a great location not far from the loch, walking distance for us to go down and have a swim and hirer paddle boards. The room was very clean a good size and had the facilities we needed. Was also surprised to find that breakfast was included, which was a lovely added bonus. Everyone was very welcoming and very helpful when needed.

The location was perfect for our trips to Troon,Ayr and the ferry to the Isle of Arran. The house was immaculate,light and airy and very comfortable.We had a super stay.

We had an amazing stay at Mornish! Katja was so incredibly friendly and kind! We immediately felt at home and also like we had plenty of privacy at the same time. Katja provided a beautiful spread of homemade breakfast options each morning. She also recommended wonderful things to do and see. I would highly recommend staying at Mornish, the location is really great and couldn’t ask for better hosts!

We spent 3 nights at Julie's place and I highly recommend it! The bed was really soft and comfortable, the room was warm, the shower was hot with perfect pressure... it was a joy to come back to the place at the end of a long day spent walking and exploring. We enjoyed a lovely walk on the coast, we saw Robert Burns' birthplace and visited the Isle of Arran. There is a nice fish and chips place nearby and also the best ice cream in Scotland within walking distance 😉

Wonderful museum artistic decor, very clean, personal amenities, bread, coffee/tea/ cereal/ yogurt, fruit. Private, library quiet, walking distance to restaurants, bus, 10 minute walk to train station. I came back to the nicest, most elegant place I have rented out of more than a dozen through Airbnb.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sea Breezes. It felt like we were the first ever guests as it was so perfect and spotlessly clean. Light and airy, cleverly laid out and had everything we could need. Even nicer than it looks in the photos. There is a terrace to the side to sit out and have breakfast in the morning sun. Also two balconies with fabulous view over the bay towards Kerrera and Mull and a beautiful garden to the rear of the property. Great communication with Veronica, very friendly and informative. Though the hosts live next door they were not intrusive at all during our stay. Highly recommended.

Cosy, modern studio, perfect for 2.

Lovely peaceful neighbourhood with a handy store that's a walkable distance away. Great cafés within 15min drive. Plenty of space within the home for a family of 4 and felt completely private. Host was fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay - the interior decor was second to none. The place was so clean & tidy and immaculate. My husband was very impressed with their lawn haha! Such a beautiful place and would highly recommend. We had some food at the Cardross Inn pub down the road which was delicious and very friendly!

Brilliant accommodation, had everything you needed. Nice peaceful location, with lots to do in the area. Would recommend.

The weather was perfect and gave Prestwick an advantage, but it has a great vibe and stands out from other seaside towns nearby. The beach is on the doorstep and Angela’s place is so spacious. Lovely.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay. James, the host, was incredibly kind and accommodating. The accommodation was clean, and we had everything we needed. James and his dog made our vacation in Scotland even more special. Highly recommend!

The cottage was just as described in previous reviews , cleaned to a very high standard and very comfortable , in a very quiet spot and an eco friendly garden too . The accommodation is very spacious with only part of the property , ie the bedroom being below the owners part of the house . The rooms are furnished to a high standard and the biggest lovely antique wardrobe gives loads of storage if needed. Plenty of tea , coffee etc and a welcome bottle of wine as well and flowers . Great for cycling to nearby stunning beaches , Kilchattan village and welcoming tea room with a post office . We would highly recommend Cathy’s place .
