Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Argyll and Bute Council

We loved staying here. It is an exceptional setting with stunning views whatever the weather. The cottage is beautifully done out inside and feels like home away from home. You can completely cut off from the outside world and relax and unwind. Absolutely worth the 5 stars and we’ll definitely be booking to go back.

Ela's place was the perfect location for us to explore the area's amazing ancient history and its wildlife. The house was clean, comfy, homely and had everything we needed for self catering. It was great to be able to enjoy the garden and to walk to the local pub where we enjoyed delicious food and great service. We particularly enjoyed visiting the museum at Kilmartin, seeing two beavers on a guided walk at the Argyll Beaver centre and taking a trip to Easedale Island.

Traumhafte Umgebung. Wir haben hier tolle Wanderungen unternommen und haben uns in der Unterkunft wie zu Hause gefühlt. Einzig die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren vor Ort etwas begrenzt. Daher sind wir zum Großeinkauf nach Oban gefahren.

We loved our week at Simon’s place. Beautiful, peaceful and lots of lovely places and beaches to visit. Seals and dolphins passed by. Loved the kayaks. House was warm and comfortable with great facilities. We hope to come back!

What a wonderful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ederline Farm. The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. A real home away from home feel. Willa was a wonderful host and the kayaking on the Loch was one of our favourite activities to do. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful holiday, we are already looking to plan a return visit!

Mein Mann und ich waren für 6 Tage in 'The Granary'. Einen schöneren Ort hätten wir nicht finden können. Von hier aus haben wir mit unserem Auto Ausflüge u.a. in die schöne Hafenstadt Oban (3O Autominuten) und auf die kleine autofreie Insel Easdale (10 Autominuten) unternommen. Direkt um die Ecke' befindet sich der Bavicar-Store, in dem man Lebensmittel und vieles mehr kaufen kann. Besonders schön waren unsere Abendspaziergänge, direkt aus dem Haus raus war man in der Natur. The Granary ist komfortabel eingerichtet, hat eine schöne Sitzecke im Garten und alles war sehr sauber. We had a wonderful stay at Achara Farmhouse! It‘s a very special, remote, and beautiful place! Not like any other place. Very easy to feel at home!

We had a wonderful stay at Innie House during the April school break on a family trip which included 4 children aged between 3-12. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful, the photos don't do it justice, and peaceful. The farmhouse has all the amenities you need. We enjoyed chilly swims in the loch and nightly evening fires, making good use of the firepit. The house is well located for nipping into Oban for groceries etc and you can hop on a ferry to different Islands from there too. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Amazing place to stay. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Liz is very responsive and extremely kind. Seriously one of the best places I’ve stayed. I’d highly recommend this place to any friends or family. A+

We had a fantastic stay! It was even prettier than the pictures, the view was amazing, and it was super clean and easy to use. That hot tub was a great bonus. We loved it and can't wait to come back. Such a peaceful place to stay at!

Location wise, this place is unbeatable! Cosy wee pod, spotlessly clean. We stayed as a couple only, and although there are extra beds to accommodate another two people I do feel that the pod would have felt a little cramped with the extra bodies. However as there were only the two of us it was just perfect. The full glass front is an absolute treat with a clear view of the loch, our highlight was being able to lie in bed with a glass of wine and watch the sun set behind the hills, or waking up early and watching the local wildlife on the loch without setting a foot out of bed! 10/10 on location! I recommend taking some binoculars as there are plenty of critters to spot from the pod. Overall a wonderful stay.

A truly beautiful place. All amenities provided. Warm, comfortable with a great view of the sea. A short walk to Troon and on the beachfront. Lovely welcome boxes - thoughtful. One of the nicest places we have stayed in. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay and everything was as described. Lots of local shops are within walking distance, parking wasn’t an issue and we had a pleasant stay.

One of the most beautiful apartments I've ever booked. Wonderful view, gorgeous furnishings and a real feel of quality, like a country house. We had such a relaxing time, and our dog didn't want to leave! Would love to stay again for longer.

A comfortably restored flat in a Victorian villa. The location is convenient as it is within easy reach of dunoon either by car or bus. There is also a good path leading to the town if you like walking. Puck’s Glen and Benmore are easily reachable in the other direction. The place is quiet, clean and the instructions were clear. Would stay again.

We stayed at the accommodation for two nights with our two children. It’s an absolutely lovely little cabin. It looks even better in real life than the pictures, sure it’s basic but it has everything you need for a short stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower was lovely and hot and the compost toilet worked perfectly. The log burner heated the room easily and we only needed it for a short time. The beds and sofa bed were lovely and comfy and we had more than enough battery lights to last the night. The cabin isn’t actually on Loch Long but it’s only a short walk down a very quiet road and there’s a rocky beach where you could paddle, swim, paddleboard from. If you want to eat out we had a fab tapas meal in Helensburgh. Enjoy!

We had the most wonderful time staying in the Lodge overlooking what has to be one of the most beautiful views in Scotland. The spot is idyllic and peaceful; our dogs and kids loved it as much as we did. Iain was a fantastic host, so friendly and responsive. It was lovely that he also gave us recommendations of what to do; and provided a really thoughtful welcome pack. We will 100% be back. Thank you Iain

The eco-lodge was very comfy, warm and inviting. We had a bit trouble finding the place but that was because I lost cell signal and had not made a screenshot of the check-in instructions (I recommend you do so). We had to ask Katherine to come down to show the electric situation, I had not fully understood that, if the stove is on, nothing that plugs in can be on as well (lamps, radio etc). Katherine was very friendly and was there within minutes then made sure we were set for the rest of the evening before she left! We were very appreciative of that.

We had a fantastic time there! The level of comfort is 11/10 ✨ The place is so beautiful, all the details! Vinyl set a nice mood! Birdwatching is incredible here, we made a wee woodpecker friend hahah so pretty! The super king-size bed is amazing! We were looking for a place to chill and relax, and it was just what we were looking for. Easy to get a taxi there from Ayr.. and you have anything you need in the room. The wood fire outside, watching the moon and hearing the stream flowing by! 🤍🤍 Adam and Katherine, Thank you for creating this place and sharing it with us! You made it very special.

Really great find! If you’re looking for private, peaceful & secluded this is the place for you. The hot tub is lovely, and the cabin has a welcoming warmth to it.

The perfect stay in the Scottish wilderness without compromising comfort. Loved all the small luxuries like welcome basket, local soaps, gorgeous bathroom with couples robes & of course the hot tub! Fab for a couple travelling with their dog! Will definitely be returning :)

Nice cabin and hot tub was all prepped, so easy to use. The weather was glorious so made the beautiful settimg even better.
