Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ardèche

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans ce charmant logement, à l'ombre de son merveilleux figuier. La maison est parfaitement située pour sillonner le nord comme le sud de l'Ardèche. Marie-Cécile est très accueillante et de très bon conseil. Logement impeccable et bien équipé. Nous recommandons !

Un des meilleur airbnb dans lequel j’ai été. Le logement est superbe, décoré avec goût et chaleureux. Je ne peux que le recommander si vous voulez découvrir l’Ardèche et séjourner dans un appartement spacieux, cosy, dans lequel on se sent vraiment bien. Le village de Balazuc est magnifique, et on peut aller à la plage à pied en 10minutes, on en a bien profité. Mary est une super hôte, réactive et grâce à qui tout a été facile et chill.

Kevin et Laetitia’s place is as close to “heaven on earth” as I’ve encountered in a long time! I am looking forward to trying to come back for a longer stay ASAP, it was absolutely incredible and as hosts, they were wonderful to work with. The interior is accommodating and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details and the exterior is a peaceful, divine oasis of comfort and pleasure. The surrounding areas are easy to access and everything was 10/10 wonderful! Merci beaucoup, Kevin & Laetitia!

This truly is a magical place to stay! It would be worth it for the beautiful terrace and views alone but the whole house is up to the same standard and has a Zen like atmosphere. We had a week of superb weather and really fell in love with the Ardèche. Great hikes start right at the house. Mirjam and Benjamin are very welcoming and professional hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this rental and hope to return!

We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s, and Catherine’s apt is our absolute favorite! We loved the spaciousness—the rooms were larger than we expected and the balcony was huge. Bed so comfy, bathroom squeaky clean, kitchen and dining room just right for the two of us, lots of places to sit and relax. We felt so at home that we didn’t want to leave. Catherine’s directions were super easy to follow and her recommendations for restaurants outstanding. It was our first time in Menerbes and we fell in love with it. We will definitely be back!

le lieu simplement sublime la maison est magnifique et l’environnement est une vraie carte postale. c’est un endroit paisible, entre pierres et nature. les propriétaires sont adorables et Blandine est vraiment réactive. merci beaucoup

Une semaine de rêve au coeur de l'Ardèche dans la belle maison de Anneke et Dominique. Un accueil très chaleureux et attentionné. Un studio très agréable avec une vue magnifique et un accès à la belle terrasse. Un calme olympien. De superbes balades à faire dans les environs : le paradis des marcheurs ! Un inoubliable séjour !

Vanessa was a wonderful host. Her instructions for finding the apartment were very clear. She also shared a list of great restaurant recommendations in the area. The apartment couldn’t be in a better location. 2 minutes away is Le Palais des papes, yet the apartment is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The space is excellent: modern conveniences with all of the history and charm you’d expect from Avignon! Thank you for a great stay, Vanessa.

It’s our second time staying here so we were much better at finding the parking. The place has a brilliant design- good mix of new and old. Of course we’ll return.

Schöne Wohnung in einem ruhigen Dorf wie ein Museum. Wir waren froh nicht im trubeligen Vallon Pont d‘arc untergebracht zu sein. Bäckerei, toller kleiner Lebensmittel Laden und ein nettes Restaurant in Fußnähe. Die Kommunikation mit Sandrine hat hervorragend geklappt.

Un excellent séjour chez Sofiane et Jessica! L'appartement est agréablement décoré, paisible et bien placé dans Aubenas. Nous avons été accueillis par Sofiane avec de gentilles attentions. Merci pour tout!!

Fabienne’s apartment was delightful with beautiful furniture and a great kitchen and amenities. Everything was of a very high quality, terrific shower and lovely area to relax. The building was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nous avons passé une excellente nuit dans le logement de Simone. Tout s’est très bien passé. Le quartier est calme, ce qui est très appréciable, et nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, parfaite pour se détendre après une journée à flâner dans les rues de Montélimar. L’appartement était propre, fonctionnel et bien équipé, avec tout le nécessaire. Simone nous a très bien accueillis. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

The apartment is very close to city centres , walkable distance to amphitheater all the ancient attractions . The apartment has everything you need washing machine , ironing board tv with Netflix. The entrance to the carpark is a bit narrow , you need to be careful if you’re driving a big car , Thierry is very helpful with guiding us to park our car

El’s place was so lovely—full of character and comfort. Walkable from the train and incredible restaurants and cafes. El was so kind and flexible. Would love to stay again!

Un bout de Paradis au milieu des vignes. Véronique et Pascal sont charmants et très discrets. Nous avons pu échanger avec eux sur leur passion et sur leurs Arts. Ils sont passionnants. Notre logement était parfait, tel la description. Les plafonds sont bas à l’étage mais comme indiqué dans la description pas de surprise. Une literie parfaite et une très jolie décoration apaisante. Je recommande vivement. Nous y retournerons je pense.

Wir würden 10 Sterne vergeben, die Wohnung ist toll, die Lage der Vera da über dem Fluss, die Terrasse am Fluss gibt eine natürliche Klimatisierung an heissen Tagen, am Abend ist die Stimmung besonders gemütlich mit dem Plätschern des Flusses, den sich darin Spiegelungen Lichtern von Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Im Herzen des viel besuchten Städtchens, wo abends die Ruhe einkehrt. Dann der bequemer Privatparkplatz und nachmittags unter den Platanen am Fluss im grossen Privatpark sitzen und ein Buch lesen. Wunderbar. Wir können die Wohnung unbedingt empfehlen. Denis war immer erreichbar und hat uns den Checkin bestens ermöglicht und viele Tipps gegeben. Er ist sehr nett und seinen Gästen gegenüber aufgeschlossen. Danke Denis für alles!

Ce (trop court) séjour nous a comblé de bonheur. Nous étions d’abord hyper agréablement surpris par l’accueil attentionné et chaleureux de Marie, puis conquis par le confort de l’appartement et du jardin (avec piscine). Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Facile d'accès, arrivée autonome, arrangeante et explications très claires. Pleins de bons conseils pour les restaurants alentours. Le logement était conforme aux photos et très propre. La piscine est très agréable, le jacuzzi un gros plus. L'accès et la terrasse privé sont très agréable. Bonne continuation Mercii
