We would like to thank Architect Paulo Gomes for the sympathy and attention with which we were received in his magnificent villa in Monção, through the Airbnb platform. It was truly well spent days, in a fantastic space where there was nothing missing. The villa has excellent conditions, which exceeded our expectations, providing unique moments of comfort and leisure. As a constructive suggestion, and with all due respect, we believe it could be even more enjoyable if hosts made us slightly more at ease, avoiding going around the house while our group was present. Anyway, this is just a light recommendation, as everything else was just fantastic. We reiterate our thanks and congratulate us on the wonderful villa and hospitality.

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Amazing Space! Perfect for a few days of rest, surrounded by nature. It's exactly like the pictures. It's really worth spending a few days here. And we couldn't ask for a better host, super available and cozy. We'll definitely come back!

This is a great place for anyone that wants to get outside of the city, my daughter and I had a lot of fun exploring the area.

The villa is incredible, breathtaking from the moment you step in. The photos cannot do it justice. We only made two trips out (apart from food shopping) because we had no need or want to leave. The space is fantastic and every room is beautiful. If you are interested in sports it caters for everything there is an indoor games hall which has almost everything you could desire. This includes the tennis racquets for the court. The pool is wonderful and very relaxing - if you’re lucky you’ll get visits from the swallows as we did. As mentioned by the host and a few reviews you will need a car to get there and to get around but it’s a great way to explore the area when you do decide to go out. We ran around the area, did some hill sprint sessions and also some HIIT sessions within the villa ground. You can do everything. There are also lots of great beaches around the area some of which are suggested in Fernando’s welcome book and one of the ones we visited. Fernando and Pedro were great hosts very helpful and always at the end of the phone should we require anything. Relaxed, helpful and humorous. You are also provided with a welcome book which has lots of information about things you can do, where you can go and how to do them! 5* all the way. A perfect place for a getaway with friends and I imagine family too. I don’t doubt we will be back to visit in the future.

The house is beautiful, well-equipped and well organized. The garden is wonderful and Soajo is a captivating place. Manuel was very kind and a good conversation with him made the experience wonderful for us (me, my wife, and our animals).

We stayed here for a week and felt very comfortable. Diana and her husband were very friendly and not intrusive. Restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. For tours in the national park, driving short distances by car was perfect. Thank you for the cake and wine👍

The space visited is truly welcoming, offering what is strictly necessary for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The simplicity of the place and the houses does not compromise the quality of the experience, providing an environment where you feel at home. One of the most notable points is the complete isolation of the site. This feature guarantees an atmosphere of tranquility, ideal for those looking for a refuge away from the noise and hustle and bustle of urban life. Peace and silence are predominant, excellent for walking tours, reading, photographs, etc. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with the very friendly and kind locals allowing us to participate with the children in their tasks with the animals. In short, this space is an excellent choice for those looking for a simple but welcoming environment. We were two families and we used both houses, an ideal situation because the common spaces are to share. Thanks ! Silvia.

The house is more beautiful delo that comes out in the photos, very comfortable and in a privileged environment, in the mountains, and with many areas and river beaches next to the house , there is a 40 km ultrasound, which you can pick up through the forest without leaving the river again. Fabiana, she was very kind and at all times to our pending state, I asked for an iron, and the next morning I had a freshly purchased iron board and table, we will definitely return.

Perfect place for a quiet rural holiday. The house has a lot of charm mixing old with new. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in every night. It has a large, pretty garden with citrus trees. It is within easy distance of many historical towns as well as a national park. We did not meet Céu but she responded very quickly to any requests we had. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

A great, quiet location equipped with all comforts. We got very regular vegetables from our own garden and wine. Our privacy was greatly respected.

This small old and super well furnished house, was perfect to welcome us to 4. charm of old stones, cozy and safe den atmosphere: this "tiny house" is really good. It's the mountain and the isolation, and that's what we were looking for. because, up there, it's only quiet, wide open spaces, beautiful views and silence. it's very relaxing. Just make sure not to worry too much about the cold outside of the summer seasons (we were in May, but, it was still quite cool weather night at 6-7° C). but, a good sweater in addition did a lot of work. really, we recommend this place: fullness, rest, magnificent walks and landscapes. We recommend there, the penameda tour (10km walk, lake, beautiful rocks, peneda monument). and finally, a super warm welcome from Maria and her family: it changes "self check-in" or contacts by automatic messages. thank you again so much for this stay. greg

wow! the grounds and views of this place are something money can't buy, the memories of looking over the national park from the stunning pool will stay with me forever... we spent 90% of our time outside, making use of the bbq every night. we were 4 adults and 2 children, thus indoor space was just enough for sleeping and bobbing I and out, not quite enough to all sit and watch the tc, but you just don't want to do that anyway. more than enough though if its just 4 people. there are loads of toys in the basement which we made use off - table tennis and there are also kayaks and access to river if you're brave! close to waterfalls and hikes and Flore will send you many recommendations. was just a beautiful place to stay. Flore, my only criticism is please provide more fans as high summer is very hot at night.

We had a great 2 days. The hosts are very welcoming and responsive. The house is impeccable. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Nothing beats the fact that every morning we had breakfast at the door. A real luxury. We would like to thank you for your kindness. We would happily stay again!

The place was just perfect! The cleanliness and comfort were impeccable, with everything you need inside. The spaces are nicely appointed and you immediately feel like a home away from home. The private terrace is a real asset, ideal for eating in the evening, grilling or just relaxing. The pool area is very well maintained, everything is designed to offer a pleasant moment. A great plus for the hospitality of our hosts, who were great and incredibly kind. Their good humor was communicative and made our stay even more enjoyable. A place to recommend without hesitation!

In a Word: Excellent 😉 Our host, Father of Bernardo, is very friendly and flexible, always helpful and concerned about the well-being of guests. A Many Thank you to him. In relation to the house, it surpassed the expectations... Well equipped and clean house with everything functional. The house help to the pool is excellent, with bathrooms, shower, well-equipped kitchen, barbecue... and even a small room, for example for children... excellent space for some good convivials together with the pool. Highly recommended and hope to return one day...

Sandra and Bia welcomed us into their lovely home, filled with antique furniture and beautifully embroiderered/ crocheted decor. We enjoyed a spectacular view of Lindoso castle, mountains and valleys, swifts, finches and the odd golden eagle circling above. At night we saw starry starry skies. If you like to cook there is everything you need in the indoor and outdoor BBQ area. We liked the pool and the outside dining area being close together meaning the family could share the space together. This does not mean the outdoor space is small, just well thought out. The house is cool, particularly the downstairs bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Bread is delivered daily, bread eggs, homemade jam, cheese and a bottle of Vinho Verde await you on arrival. More eggs and jam will be provided - you just have to ask. Sandra and Bia kindly laundered our clothes (same day service). This is our favourite AirBnB for cleanliness, attention to detail and setting.

Absolutely gorgeous place and view. The foggy patches coming off those mountains with a sunrise view is pure heaven. We were only there 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer for a deeply relaxing experience. The only difficulty was finding the place- you must search for Casa Velha Tourismo on google maps because the address is non-existent. The house is full of charm and fully stocked with lots of extras that make it great for families. Spent the first day exploring the Soajo area (granaries + Poco Negro for swimming) and the second waterfall hopping in Geres and finishing by soaking in the hot river at the Caldaria de Lobios just across the Spanish border. Highly recommend the Saber ao Borralho restaurant and also Santu’s cafe was great for tapas.
