Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Aran Islands

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

Stunning cottage with everything you could need! Short drive into Doolin for pubs and the ferry to Aran islands and cliffs of moher. Lovely to be able to cook and relax by the fire place. The house was very clean and warm. Would love to stay here again!

Stayed at Anna Marie’s for 4 days. Attended a wedding at Vaughn’s and the house was awesome! The home was well appointed with everything we needed. Anna Marie even stocked the fridge with everything we needed for breakfast included eggs, bread, milk and cheese. We were two couple travelling and there was enough sleeping arrangements that we were all able to have a bed to ourselves (one on a sofa bed; which was extremely comfortable). The patio area outside was excellent as the weather allowed us to eat our meals outside.

The Roundhouse is amazing, almost certainly the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The location is incredible for a peaceful get away, with beautiful surroundings. There is a jetty with ocean access for kayaking (to a seal colony!) right on the doorstep. The house is finished to an exceptional standard. There is plenty of space and the amenities are very high end. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you could need and more. Bernie and Val were perfect hosts, making us feel welcome and going above and beyond throughout to make our stay special. If I could praise it more, I would! We hope to be back.

A lovely and cozy house in a peaceful location. We loved the quietness to get away from a busy city environment. Anna was super responsive and the welcome manual was really helpful and clear full with local recommendations. The house itself was clean and just felt really warm and welcoming. A perfect place to unwind and have quality time with the family!

Great place in a great location! Really spacious and was easy to get into and settle in! Located perfectly to walk to all the stuff to do in the area and the host was extremely helpful to give tips and help on anything around!

This house is so spacious, comfortable, clean, bright, modern and peaceful. It is a bit away from the main village, but there are plenty of taxi's. Michael, who collected us from the airport was so helpful and even stopped by the local shop for us to stock up. He made sure we knew how everything worked in the house. We had a lovely tour of the island by local man Tommy, who was very knowledgable and was so giving with his time. Then Mairtin, who is fun and a character took us back to the airport on our return home This is a perfect house for a family or a large gathering of people. I would highly recommend this house.

Had a great stay at the lakehouse, its a beautiful location and very remote, so extremely peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and had a perfectly calm lake and magnificant sunsets most evenings. The house has amazing lake views and you could spend hours relaxing in the living room enjoying the serenity. We liked having access to the private pier, to do some fishing didn't require a boat, and pike and perch were caught every day. Having a great supply of coffee pods and a machine was great and appreciated. A very special house that I hope to return to again some day. Madeline was a great host and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage very comfortable, clean, warm and well presented and communication was excellent.

Nous avons passé quelques jours fantastiques dans cette maison. confortable, spatieuse, bien équipée, propre et avec sa vue magnifique !!! le coin est très joli, sauvage, très isolé. il faut absolument une voiture car il n'y rien à côté pour faire les courses. Angela et Gerry sont des hôtes très sympas et leur relais sur place Parraic est d'une grande aide en cas de besoin. je recommande cette maison sans hésitation.

Der Container war buchstäblich perfekt! Bei Regen haben wir durch die großen Fenster den schönen Garten vorm Kamin aus beobachten können, bei Sonne konnten wir sogar draußen am Teich sitzen. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und dazu noch gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Infos zur Anreise, zum Container und was man in der Umgebung unternehmen kann, hat Jazz im Vorhinein mitgeteilt und/ oder wurden in einer schönen Broschüre aufbereitet. Jazz und ihre Familie haben eine wirklich schöne und entspannende kleine Oase geschaffen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! Der Container auf dem Anwesen war das Highlight unserer Rundreise durch Irland.

We loved our stay at this idyllic location ! You are immersed in nature ..animals, bird song , wild flower meadow and the Turlough. The Cabins are have a simple design led cosy vibe . Off grid but everything you need for a relaxing stay. Roy is a friendly and attentive host. Location is fantastic ..close to Kinvarra . We enjoyed a pizza and pint at Tully’s after a good walk in the Burren . Both the Cabins and village are dog friendly . We will definitely return to this special place !

Ewa’s Cottage is over the top beautiful, serene, peaceful, quiet, and well appointed. Quaint on the outside. Contemporary on the inside. We enjoyed ending each day savoring the ocean view. Great location for hiking the Ben’s or cycling around Roundstone. Can recommend O’Dowds for dinner in Roundstone.

This was a comfortable stay in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by fields. Quiet and private, perfect to unwind.

My family were ‘blown away’ on arrival. En-suites in each of the three double bedrooms plus a separate bathroom. Comfy beds with crisp cotton bedding and cosy duvets. Electric blankets in the two downstairs bedrooms, a top of the range duvet upstairs to snuggle into. The kitchen and utility area are well equipped with washing machine & tumble-dryer. Richard was always quick to respond to our queries and the housekeeper lives nearby. The secluded location along a bumpy lane is off the famous Sky Road with its stunning views. The views give plenty of scope for amazing photo opportunities. It’s a 15 minute drive to and from Clifden for shopping/restaurants. There is plenty to do and see in Connemara and don’t set too much store by the weather forecasts. It can change rapidly from a heavy shower to bright sunshine in a moment. It all adds to the beauty of the area and Waters Edge is ideally located to appreciate it. We loved our time here.

We had a great stay at Brona's Loft.The place is quiet and very comfortable. Brona provided a lot of information about the local area. She also provided some breakfast items in a basket. We appreciate that. Thanks for hosting us.

Irene, the house manager, was an absolute joy to communicate with. Always prompt and accommodating, she ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a secluded escape to truly appreciate the rugged charm of Connemara, Hawthorn House is an exceptional choice. We left feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Ireland’s west. Highly recommended!

The place was so special. We had the best time escaping from the busyness of life and just relaxing in the hot tub.

This is such a gem of a home. Thoughtfully designed, sustainable and ultra cozy. Better than the pictures! A true heaven - this was the most relaxed we have felt in ages and only wish we had stayed longer. Matt is an excellent host. We most highly recommend!

Our stay at Dorothy's place was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, Dorothy's warmth, humor, and genuine care made us feel right at home. She truly is the most wonderful host you could ever wish for. The house is beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches and plenty of information about the local area. Dorothy was always available to offer invaluable advice on where to eat, explore, and even save money. Her recommendations were spot on and made our trip even more special. The location is perfect, with a stunning lake just a short walk away. Thanks to Dorothy's provided equipment, we enjoyed kayaking and taking in the serene views. The hot tub was another highlight—spacious, impeccably maintained, and absolutely enchanting at night with the fairy lights twinkling around us. Outdoor space's perfect for alfresco dining, and the presence of the donkeys and two friendly dogs added an extra layer of charm to our stay. It truly felt like a slice of haven on earth. 10/10
