The house is very easy reachable via public transportation; the post-van is 5 minutes to go, with direct connection to St. Gallen (with an overall travel time of 30 minutes). The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

The property is on Appenzellerstrasse, which leads from Gais to Appenzell. The house is bright, offers plenty of space for 3-4 people on the ground floor and 1st floor. After a short but somewhat steep walk to the bungalow, you can enjoy the view of the Alpstein with our local mountain, the Säntis, on a cozy terrace. There are many walking and hiking opportunities directly from the house. Please note: From the parking lot, you can walk relatively steeply up the hill to the beautifully located bungalow on the edge of the forest for about 100 m.

In Haus Steg in Steinegg, 2 minutes by car from the main town of Appenzell, we rent a homely vacation apartment for up to 5 people. 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and one single bed each, living room with TV; kitchen, microwave and coffee machine; raclette and fondue dishes available; bathroom with shower and WC; free Wifi, free parking, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in the price. Dogs are very welcome.

The studio is located in a typical Appenzell house (built in 1689). A mix of modern and traditional furnishings awaits. You are only a 3-minute walk from the old town, many sights and the Appenzell train station. The studio has an open living and sleeping area with a pull-out 160 cm wide bed. There is also a TV with Netflix access. The kitchen is fully equipped and the cozy dining area is ideal for breakfast.
