Great for walkers and animal lovers, this accommodation is part of a former "Kafenion", situated in the heart of a traditional Cretan village in the hills. Nearby is the pretty and bustling town of Spili, with its tavernas, shops, pharmacy, health centre and post office. Prices from €35 (spring and autumn) to €40 including a basic breakfast. The WiFi only works outside. Loving dogs and cats is essential, if you wish to stay here, as I have 4 dogs and several cats. . Having a car is essential.

If you wish to write, paint, live...come to the fairytale old village of Kato Mixorouma, and stay in a stone-built cottage in a garden flooded with flowers and trees on the bank of the river full of ducks and geese, and let the singing of the birds and the splashing of the river rock you to sleep and calm you. The property contains two small cottages, and this listing is 35 sq m in a 1500 sq m yard, which also has a large bbq. Great Internet Speeds and TV included (beginning September 2024!).

Next to the outside entrance there is a bus stop to Rethymno, Spili and Agia Galini. The place offers a comfortable environment and is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and families with one child. The terrace and the barbecue are the areas that are shared with the next house
