The area (quiet) is a 10 min bicycle ride to a ferry that takes you to the center in three minutes. Close to the house (5 min. by bicycle) cool bars and restaurants. Also a 10 min walk to Noorderpark, and 15 minute walk to the subway to the center/south of Amsterdam.
