Absolutely amazing stay here, just what we needed to get away from city life, scenery was beautiful, hot tub was amazing, very clean, we just loved every second of it, we didn't want to come home! Thank you Catherine for having the prosecco and banners up for us on arrival , it was a lovely suprise for my partners birthday. We will definitely be back!

Leah & Lennox’s airbnb was the perfect stay. The lodge was exceptionally clean & the interior was so modern & homely. All amenities were great & the hot tub was super easy to use. The lodge is only a short drive from dumfries which was great for me and my partner as it allowed us to still train at the gym whilst we were away. The forest walk was the perfect start to our morning. The area was very peaceful & we started each morning with a coffee whilst watching the lambs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay to celebrate my graduation & we cannot wait to return❤️

It was an absolute pleasure to spend 3 nights at Huntercrook Lodge. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful lodge or to the stunning views. The location is excellent with plenty of walks available. The lodge is very well-equipped, impeccably clean and is just so comfortable. The small touches are all there and we were very grateful for the welcome basket, homemade cake and bottle of prosecco. We loved sitting on the veranda or in the hot tub with some drinks taking in the views. We enjoyed walks to Twice Brewed, Hadrian's Wall and Sycamore Gap but spent most of our time enjoying the lodge. Julia and Robin are excellent hosts and I can't recommend a stay at Huntercrook highly enough. I look forward to returning in the future!

Me and my boyfriend came for our 2 year anniversary. I paid for the anniversary package the details were very personalised. The Pod was very clean and very beautiful and quiet. We had an amazing time highly recommend and would come again.

If you want a peaceful, undisturbed night in the countryside in a very well kept and cosy cabin with everything you need, without anyone around you to spoil your peace, AND with a hot tub! ...then this place will fit the bill. We had a fantastic stay. The cabin is in a convenient location and was as a great base for exploring the Lakes. The sounds of river running along by the deck was wonderfully relaxing! Everything was homely, comfortable and inviting on arrival. Welcome supplies and fresh flowers were a nice touch too. Couldn't fault our host who was proactive and helpful throughout. We hope to be back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay, the pod was great it had everything we needed and kept us warm during the very rainy nights we stayed there. The only downside was the road getting down to the pods as our car wasn't so suitable for the off road which we didn't realise (our own fault for having a very low car and not completely reading the description). But other than that the stay was amazing and we will 100% be back in a different car! Thank you for making the pod so welcoming and allowing dogs!!

If you are looking for a place for rejuvenation and away from hustle and bustle of life, then book this place without a second thought.. this property completely exceeded our expectations from start to finish..!! Where do I even start.. place is spacious, surrounded by beautiful views.. hosts are very friendly.. we had come to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and they had set up a nice decoration for her.. so thoughtful of them.. we absolutely loved every minute of the stay there.. wish could stay longer.. little one had the best birthday experience watching so many animals around.. really looking forward to come back.. just s little advice would be to carry groceries and other stuff if possible as the nearest superstore is nearly 4 miles away and that too isn’t very well stocked.. you do get basic stuff though.. this was the only issue we faced..

Perfect location for the surrounding area, including Forest of Mabie and Ae. We were a family of four, children 10 and 8. Short distance to Dumfries town centre which has selection of bars and food places. The cabin was rustic and unique, we found it very cosy and provided us with everything we needed. Kevin and Shirin were very friendly and responsive, they provided us with local history and information on things to do around us. The children enjoyed exploring in the woods behind the cabin and playing on grass area at the front of cabin. We definitely recommend staying here and would return.

This is a lovely cabin in a beautiful location - we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very well equipped kitchen with lots of cooking basics provided too. Cabin is lovely and clean, with very comfortable beds. looking forward to staying again in the future.

My wife and I stayed with our two children 11 and 8. The kids loved it and as did we. Amazing location. Quiet and peaceful with stunning scenery. Really friendly hosts. Would highly recommend!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at moffat manor. The park is lovely for a quite get away with parks, a bar and love walks around the site . Judy's cabin was great for 5 people staying as well as being pet friendly it ticked all the boxes

The perfect rural setting for 2 people. At first, the area takes your breath away and then it allows you to relax. The Green House is well thought out and has everything you need for your stay. It is delightful to sit on the patio watching the chickens and sheep or listen to the rain. Lots of hiking in the area and sporting clays are also nearby. The local pub is open for dinner every night and lunch on weekends. You are on your own for breakfast

The accommodation was cosy and pleasant, perfect for a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. We loved the field at the back of the lodge and the sheep. Would have been great if we could have checked in from 2pm or have a later check out. Thank you for hosting us, it’s a place that I’ll def recommend to my friends.

Lucy's place was such a lovely and peaceful stop on our way home from.the Highlands. Conveniently located close to moffat but in its own peaceful valley we had a great stay. The cabin is clean, cosy and spacious enough for a family of four and the views from the living area and main bedroom out onto a little river and the hills beyond was delightful. The cabin is on a working farm and located right in the farmyard but this didn't in any way impinge on the peace and we felt very welcome. Thank you Lucy, this was a great find!

A lovely wee cabin with plenty of space to move around, very clean, and has all the amenities that you need. Views out of every window are amazing and for those that need there is full 4/5g signal. Amazingly friendly and responsive hosts as well that show they really care about the stay being a great experience for their guests. Will definitely use again should I be looking to stay in the area

We had a lovely stay at the Treetop Lodge. It was a pleasure staying in such a peaceful and relaxing lodge after a chaotic week at work. And we are now converted to bird watchers!

Beech Barn was perfect. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is great for a short 5 minute drive into Pooley Bridge. I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family. Thank you.

Such a wonderful stay at Jeannot's place. Perfect location with lots of wildlife and a great base to tour the surrounding area. Wish we could have stayed longer so will definitely return. Comfortable and cosy cabin with everything you need. Very secluded and off the beaten track which we absolutely loved. Really is a little piece of paradise. The Riverside Pod is a gorgeous, serene escape. Beautiful location with a lovely picturesque village within walking distance. The Pod itself is cosy yet spacious and the sounds of the running river directly outside was simply perfect. Would love to return…definitely for longer next time! Thank you Val!
