Beachfront holiday rental in Anchor Bay

We came in from out of state for a concert at Ford Field and prefer a pet friendly home over an apartment or cramped city space. This place met our needs and offered us a comfortable, safe and peaceful place to stay. Many thanks!

I had a wonderful stay and greatly enjoyed my time at Veronica’s place. She was very responsive and kind enough to accommodate a change in my check-in date, though I ultimately didn’t need it. The apartment provided a warm and comfortable stay during Michigan’s freezing winter, along with a good view of the river. One of the electric circuits went down during my stay, but Veronica quickly sent someone to fix it, which I truly appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely book again the next time I’m in town.

Second time staying here. Loved both times! This time was for our Anniversary, and Jen went above and beyond to make it extra special. She and Rex are always friendly, and sweet people. The place is spotless, and well appointed. Will definitely come back again!

You will love that it has a driveway, that you can pull in and leave without backing up. The home is bright and cheery. When you walk in, you see that it is just like the listing and better. The decor is soothing to the eyes throughout the home. I felt secure the very first night being there. We enjoyed their private patio with a firepit. It is definitely an all season home to enjoy all year. For young kids it has a bright, clean & spacious basement with pool table that converts to a ping pong table, air hockey table and an electric basket ball hoop arcade game for several to play. My stay here was for 4 weeks and I did not want to leave. I have put this Airbnb in my phone as a place that I want to comeback to again! Absolutely loved this stay. Stayed with my husband, 2.5 year old, 5 month old and chocolate lab. Small but quaint cottage with absolutely stunning views and direct beach access to your own (semi) private beach. Rustic, as described in the description, but they offered everything you need including an extremely effective portable AC unit and standup fans. Will absolutely consider coming back here for our next vacation!

Was the best Airbnb we have ever done. The host thought of everything and the house was equipped with everything need for a perfect stay. Stephanie was very responsive to all our questions. Definitely coming again.

It’s a very nice place to stay, right on the water with beach access from the backyard. The cottage is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you need. I like to cook and there was a great selection of everything you need to make use of the kitchen and feel right at home. The beds were also very comfortable. The view was lovely, and the environment very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend it!

Jemima's place offered a perfect retreat from the usual hustle and bustle. This well-maintained home is spotlessly clean and thoughtfully organized, with ample space to comfortably accommodate 2-3 families. The backyard transitions into a charming mini lakefront. Here, guests can relax on the bench or gather around the fireplace, enjoying morning coffee or evening drinks in a serene setting. While previous reviews mentioned train noise, I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't an issue during our stay. We experienced peaceful sleep throughout our visit. The house's cleanliness, spaciousness, and tranquil lakefront setting make it an ideal getaway. I would definitely return given the opportunity and highly recommend it to others seeking a quiet, well-appointed retreat.

Corey and Dru have both been amazing hosts that made our weeklong stay in Sarnia wonderful! The space in the home and willingness of the hosts to share their belongings and kitchen items with guests is something so unique, but so helpful when staying for an extended period of time. There was genuinely nothing that we did not have access to. The amenities offered (outdoor space, water activists, fire pit, BBQ, etc) are perfect to make any summer trip a memorable one. And the proximity to the water cannot be beat. I was skeptical about actually being able to hear the waves of Lake Huron from the home - but it is true! The space was so beautiful, and truly felt like home!

Wish we had more time to relax there but the time we had was so peaceful. Having a morning coffee, sitting out along the lake on the dock, Premium. My only issue was that train. I'm a light sleeper. I heard any that went by. Didn't seem to bother my wife.

The beach access was incredible for quiet mornings. Well stocked with things to do, it was a joy to watch the other renters take the boats out to fish and relax. The neighbors were all friendly, the neighborhood a short and sweet walk. It was an incredible stay, we ended up extending because we weren't ready to leave! Loved the fully equipped kitchen and though we didn't utilize it, free laundry facilities are always a plus for lake vacations (no more smelly bathing suits on the way home!) The thermostat was straightforward and the wifi connection was strong. No complaints here!

Lakeside was amazing! beautiful beach, semi- private, inside and outside very well kept, cottage was stocked with everything we needed, laundry available, lots of parking, upstairs bedroom has an air conditioner, downstairs can get a little stuffy on really hot days but there are plenty of stand up fans provided, lots of seating inside and outside, pretty clean, nice linens and towels provided, beds are comfortable, great sunsets! Thank you Sarah and Joshua!! you were excellent hosts and we will be returning :) p.s. there is a red lounge chair with an ottoman in the living room that I wanted to bring home lol so comfortable!

This is a very cute home. It has all the right updated modern finishing touches. The bathroom is amazing and had the best fixtures and water pressure. My son was able to take the kayak out. The hot tub was relaxing. Rachel was very helpful and even willing to ship back a few things we left behind as 5 of us had a 14 hour trip home and had to get ready and check out very early.

I had a fantastic stay at [Host's Namel's place! The home was exactly as described - clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. The check-in process was smooth and communication with the host was easy and friendly. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

Wonderful place to stay. My whole family loved it we can’t wait to go back. And all the beds are amazing. Location was great close enough to town for food delivery. But far enough away for a peaceful stay. Beautiful lakefront home gorgeous views. This place has everything you need or want to have a great stay. I highly recommend. And the host are so friendly down to earth kind of people. We look forward to staying in there home again.

Jamie's lakefront home was the most wonderful stay for my quaint bachelorette weekend. Jamie was incredibly helpful, kind, and went above and beyond in providing us with goodies as well as recommendations for local restaurants, etc. She even put up an adorable "girls weekend" sign on her mantel in the family room, which was so sweet! The house was clean and absolutely perfect for our needs. The water was hot, and the back porch area and hot tub were perfect! Also, Downtown Lake Orion was so cute and perfect with walkable coffee shops, boutique stores, and amazing spots for dinner and drinks! We couldn't recommend Jamie's home more. What an awesome weekend!

We loved our stay ! Everything was perfect! It was clean and very beautiful. And the views of the water were beautiful and peaceful. Loved waking up and drinking my coffee on the patio and watching the lake! James was always very responsive to our needs! He would go out of way just for us! Very appreciated. He is kind and understanding! Really had a great time being there. It was like home away from home. Thank you James for everything!
