We loved our stay in this clean and compact studio apartment. There is a beautiful view over the valley. We also really valued being outside of the hustle and bustle of Ella while still having easy access to the town - we had our own tuktuk making getting up and down very easy. It's a decent walk up and downhill if you don't have a vehicle, although there are also plenty of cafes and restaurants easy access along the road. You can also eat entirely at the Airbnb and the food was excellent. Host was easy to communicate with - we would highly recommend a peaceful stay here 💚

Our stay at Footprints was really special and felt like a real break from our lives in busy Galle. We arrived after dark, and had the treat of waking up to the view of the sea from our room, the jungle, a stunning sunrise and a surprisingly cool breeze. We stayed within the property for most of the weekend, relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. We loved walking on the beach, finding shells and my son loved climbing the rocks at the end of the beach next to the surf break. We paid extra for full board and ate three delicious meals a day prepared by Akila’s caretakers - all really tasty, thoughtfully prepared and attention given to my sons special requests. Akila and his caretakers are excellent hosts. Extremely kind, caring and attentive. We really enjoyed living a simpler life for the weekend, in a true haven away from it all. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay somewhere which feels so secret, special and peaceful.

We had a dream stay, thanks in large part to Najeem. The place was in a GREAT location, near Arugam Bay's Main Road. Najeem's property is a small haven of peace, relaxing, quiet, clean and exotic, and only 2 minutes from the beach and many restaurants, bars, surf rentals etc... I highly recommend Najeem and her house! His hospitality really touched us and allowed us to have a great time! Go there without so much as a second thought.

Absolutely loved this place! Away from the busy world in a peaceful setting. The cabin is lovely and Sri Lankan breakfast was very nice too. Host and staff friendly and responsive, it was great that the tuk-tuk was waiting for us at the train station upon arrival.

Get back to the elements with legendary cooking and good vibrations, dwelling in high frequency purity. Very thank full to just know places like this still exist. Feels like coming "ohm". If you are considering to book this place, just do it. They are the most welcoming people and really want to make the best out of your stay. The view is just incredible. Sunset as well as sunrise are impressive from up there. The house is such an experience as well. Just don’t expect a 5 star hotel vibe - but then you will simply love this place. (And the food - delivered by a chef from the town „closeby“ - was the best of my entire time Sri Lanka). I wish everyone could have this experience
