A wonderful stay! If you’re looking for peace and quiet surrounded by natural beauty, this is the place for you! I stayed after a couple of snowstorms and the scenery with the deer and other wildlife was just stunning. Eric and Elise are very friendly and are available without being intrusive. The place was clean and cozy and the bed very comfortable! I was here over a month and it definitely felt like home - especially with the resident (outdoor) kitty who was a wonderful friendly little visitor! Would love to visit again during Spring bloom! Fairview is an absolute gem! This circa 1867 historic home provided the perfect setting for our family Christmas. The charm and character of the house made us feel completely at home, and the accommodations were nothing short of perfect for our entire family. The thoughtful welcome treats and fresh flowers were such a warm and special touch that made us feel instantly at ease. The home was clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to pull off a wonderful Christmas dinner. The kitchen had all the essentials, making it so much easier to prepare and enjoy our meal together. The spectacular mountain views added a peaceful backdrop, and the resident peacock was a delightful surprise, bringing laughs and joy to our grandchildren. If you’re looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and comfort, Fairview is the perfect choice. We’ll cherish the memories we made here and hope to return someday!

My husband and I took our children to the icehouse for spring break. We went to the safari drive thru zoo, visited the natural bridge and spent most of our time at the pond on the property. They loved fishing off the dock of the pond. We brought our own fishing gear but noticed a few poles and tackle box in the closet of the house. The property is gorgeous! We enjoyed walking the property and visited the owners pet peacock, Henry. We plan to stay at the icehouse again!

This was an amazing place to get away if you are looking to relax or spend some time outdoors. Just a warning, you are on a farm where the cows are. So there will be bugs! Nothing harmful, just some stinkbugs. Will was fast to respond and everything was easy to find around the cabin making check in and check out easy. My favorite part was waking up to the cow moos 🐄🐄

It was a lovely return to Lexington for W&L reunion weekend & it was nice to have this fantastic spot as a home away from home!

My wife and I loved staying at Laura's cabin. It was described perfectly - adorable and perfect for our quick stay. The cabin is quaint and super cute and the cabin sits on beautiful grounds. We loved the early morning on the back deck watching the sunrise! Devil's Backbone and Three Notch'd are about 10 minutes down the road for some really great beer, and there's a ton of wineries all around. Great place and we enjoyed our stay!!

Ronald’s place was perfect for us! We came to the area for a dog trial and the farm setting was great for our dogs. It was soo comfortable of a place to stay, from the comfy couch to the fireplace (thermostat-controlled). It was extremely quiet and convenient for us. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

It was beautiful and peaceful. The house was clean and spacious and if he had any questions or needed help with something she was very responsive. It was a healing trip for our family and exactly what we needed. We hope we can return next year!

What a beautiful house and location! It's just what our large family needed. And Cindy--wow! What a host. Cindy extremely friendly and very accommodating. She does a great job maintaining the house and grounds. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better time away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you!

Photos do not do this house justice- the view is impeccable, it’s large enough to accommodate many more people than we had in our party, it was immaculate, and it was lovingly stocked. A perfect landing pad for Lexington and the Valley. We’re just sad we only stayed one night! Already considering a return trip.

Nice views, peaceful setting. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Chessie Trail was great for running in the mornings, just a 1/2 mile from the house. We were there for a horse show and did not get to explore the area too much, but certainly seemed like there was plenty of hiking opportunities if we had more time.

This was an amazing getaway. The home is cozy, clean, and inviting. The property is private and beautiful. There were plenty of day activities for us to do with our dogs. Suzy checked to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. She is a very gracious host. Highly recommend

Claudia was such a great host and incredibly accommodating and responsive with any requests. The view from the back of the house was so beautiful and peaceful. With a lovely running/ walking/ biking trail just a few miles away, we were able to enjoy a relaxing weekend away with some wonderful outdoor time. Thanks for having us!

This place was great for hosting our Bachelor Party. The hosts were very accommodating and the setup of the house barn and fire pit were ideal ….. the basketball game in the barn was an excellent late night activity.

We had the best girls weekend at the farm with the pups! The home was beautiful and extremely clean and welcoming. The weather was too wet and rainy to enjoy the outdoor firepit area, but it was all set up for a cozy little bonfire had we been able to! Will definitely look to come back to explore more of the area and go on other hikes we didn't get to while there. The morning visits from the farm pups also made our days! A must stay!

We were there for a ski weekend at Wintergreen and everything on the mountain was booked. This place wasn’t far from the Ski Barn. The farmhouse takes you back 75-100 years. It was a real unique cozy place. It wasn’t a slope side condo, but it had a lot of real charm. I think we stumbled on a cozy gem.

Our stay was wonderful, a lovely location, the accommodation had everything we needed and Doug and Chloe were perfect hosts!

Our family of seven spent two nights here to have family Thanksgiving, The drive to the house is very beautiful with mountains in the distance. The house was very spacious and clean. The integrity of the farm house itself is very warm, with many of the original floors and woodwork. The game room in the basement is a plus. Morning walks down by the creek give you an opportunity to be connected to nature. Very special visit and most definitely would recommend this charming home to others. Thank you Shantina for such a great adventure!
