Holiday houses in Amboy

Although I'd have like to pay less for our 1-night stay, Kathy's house was immaculate and very charming. She lives next door, and she came over to introduce herself once we arrived. The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could ask for. The neighborhood is quiet, and the whole house has a relaxed atmosphere with little extras including cozy blankets in the living room. This is an unexpected gem in Savanna.

The house is in a neighborhood of nice homes, peaceful and walkable. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was so well organized with everything you need and the bathrooms were spotless. It’s in a perfect location to restaurants. Highly recommend and will reserve again.

We loved our stay at Highview! The iffy weather allowed us to take advantage of the cozy, comfortable cabin as we spent a day inside reading, playing games, and enjoying the spectacular view- even on a cloudy day. When it was nice, we hiked Apple River Canyon, checked out some wineries and had a fun dinner at JJ & Freddie's right down the road. The bartender/owner was friendly and full of recommendations. Thank you Dan Kellie for opening your beautiful cabin to us. WE would love to come back and experience the beautiful surroundings in every season. 

Convenient location for stay purposes. House was perfect size for needs and was easy for an out of stater to find. Check in and out was easy and convenient as well. The hosts, Cody and Shannon, were both very accommodating and friendly. Will probably try to rent from this host again in the future!

This was such a beautiful property to visit. The view is incredible. We especially enjoyed walking the trails that are cut through the meadows with our dog and watching the birds at the feeders and the cows grazing in the distance. The bottle of wine was a lovely welcome. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table as well as the unique surroundings. Beds were comfortable. Short drive to Galena and Elizabeth. Highly recommend staying here!

The home was very quiet and comfortable. It was clean, organized, and in a perfect location for us. What really impressed us were the extras; We showed up to freshly baked pumpkin-chocolate chip cookies, wine, coffee with everything you needed, bottled water, and there were even loofahs! We highly recommend this house and we will definitely rebook on upcoming trips.
