Star Cottage, Harbottle, Rothbury, Northumberland

SarahRating, 5 stars10 months ago
What an amazing find! it is a beautiful little village next to a pub that serves excellent food, best mushroom risotto I have ever had! We walked up a nearby hill to Drakes stone and the view was great, we looked around the ruin castle in the village and did a walk by the river all without having to get in a car. Location was peaceful and quiet and our dog had the best time ever. I highly recommend this place, the cottage itself is spotless and has everything you need utensils and appliance wise. There is a small shop in the pub next door. Karen communicated really well and I would definitely stay here again. We also travelled to nearby places such as Craster, Alnwick, Rothbury and Kielder from here and although it is a little journey the scenery is well worth it.

Hall Yards Cottage

TracyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

Stunning two bedroom stable cottage Glanton Pyke

LesleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A wonderful short break. The cottage is beautifully designed, with gorgeous furnishings and decor, and has everything you need, as well as being spotlessly clean. All the little details are lovely. The shower is amazing, the sofa very comfy, and the fire looked tempting but we didn't need it (sadly!), as the cosy underfloor heating kept us lovely and warm. The setting is peaceful, with a view of the private garden from the kitchen, and the walled garden is very special. We enjoyed trips to the lovely Northumberland coast, about a 30-40 minute drive away, as well as a walk from the door. This was one of the loveliest cottages we've ever stayed in, and we plan to return at some point.

The Studio Cottage

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay at the Studio. The views are absolutely stunning. The studio is fully loaded with high end equipment for an enjoyable stay. We thought it was so much better than the photos . Placed in a very good location for getting to all the places we wanted to visit on our holiday - Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island & Lindisfarne, Seahorses, Amble, The Farne Islands, Craigside National Trust. We would definitely come back here again without any hesitation.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in June's apartment. It was beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. We enjoyed the town and in particular Jedburgh Abbey. We took the circular walk from the Alltrails App. Beautiful scenery and views.

Owl Apartment , lovely 2 Bed apartment.

CharlesRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The owl Apartment is a really well provided holiday space, right in the centre of town, and a perfect centre for exploring this area. There is nothing you will lack, and I would thoroughly recommend The Owl and Rothbury as a most relaxing holiday destination. Walks, nearby stately homes, beautiful scenery , and fine local food and drink. We look forward to returning! Charlie and Mary from High Peak.

Converted Granary

RosRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a wonderful few days in Alwinton. The cottage had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, a lovely light conservatory, space to stretch out in the living room and a well equipped kitchen. We came primarily to walk and unwind and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The hills were on our doorstep and we took our maps and followed the trail upwards. The views were spectacular and it was a joy to see and hear so many birds.
