Cabin holiday rentals in Alum Creek

We loved our stay in the cabin. It was so peaceful. We got visits from deer every evening & shows from the lightning bugs every night. We enjoyed eating our meals on the screened in patio. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax before bed. The twin beds were not very comfortable (& they were also really squeaky). The other beds were fine, though. If you’re terrified of bugs & spiders, this probably isn’t the place for you. They weren’t excessive, but they were regularly visible. Mostly daddy long legs, nothing too scary.

Almost Heaven is as apt a description as I have seen. Nestled in the pines, it was an adventure in glamping elevated to an extreme level. The wooden cabin was so comfortable with every amenity considered. The hot tub was a wonderful luxury after a long day hiking in the NRGNP. (We literally walked to the Endless Wall trailhead.) There was a firepit and wood readily available. We were greeted at check-in by Gary and Julie for a friendly, comprehensive walk through. Julie's cinnamon bread was waiting for us and sustained us for the majority of the visit. Fresh eggs, gifted to us by their chickens, were delicious. Please stay here. Your joy in doing so will make the world a better place.

We loved our stay!! It was peaceful, relaxing, and just what we needed. I suggest this place to anyone. I will say it is like glamping, the bathroom is an outhouse and not attached to the house, but it's right beside it. The bath house is walking distance and is at the end of the hill with the party barn and hot tub. We love everything about it. Overall, we loved our stay and we will be staying again!!! The host are very friendly and quick to respond to all needs. Book this place!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend get away at Rustic Ravines. Directions were really great took us right to the place. It’s was beautifully tucked away in the woods and very well maintained. The cabin was clean, beautiful and very private. We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed the hot tub! When we left Joe went above and beyond. Big thunderstorms caused flooding blocking us in and Joe went out of his way to find someone that escorted us and someone else out and helped us get home safely. All in all this was a wonderful experience and we certainly would come back again! Highly recommend!

Great experience staying at the Papaw’s Cozy Cabin. Kristi was a very responsive host and everything went smoothly.

My friends and I rented this property as a getaway for the 1 year anniversary of the loss of my friend's partner. This rental was truly lovely and relaxing. We found the property very clean and the beds/couches were comfortable. It was very private and we loved getting to use the ATVs. It's hard to be sad when you're ATVing and hot tubbing with your best friends. The property was also very close to many of the Mothman attractions we came to town for. We would definitely stay again. And Spooky the cat was so friendly. We are a bunch of animal-lovers, so he was a welcome friend during our stay.

This cabin was everything we hoped! It’s incredibly well-stocked—literally anything you could think of was there, from kitchen and bathroom essentials to extra blankets and games. You can tell a lot of thought went into making guests feel at home. The cabin was also absolutely spotless! The setting is peaceful and quiet, with a lovely creek running nearby that adds to the relaxing vibe. The backyard is private and perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening. Everything was super comfortable, and it was the perfect base for exploring NRG. Highly recommend—would absolutely stay here again!

The cabin is perfect with many unexpected extras to make staying there a great experience. The only thing that could have added to our days would have been walking trails. other than that the experience was top notch.

Liz was an awesome host took us on an awesome tour of Sanderson mtn it was alot of fun we did a little storm chasing on Sunday (not by choice lol) definitely will be back!!

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

The cabins are a great place to stay while exploring the NRG national park. The Amish cabin matched the description and is very comfortable for 2-5 people. The property is very clean and clear instructions were provided during check-in and check-out. The WiFi connectivity is spotty but mobile network worked just fine. Restaurants, fast food and grocery stores are located with a mile. I would definitely stay here again.

We felt right at home from the minute we arrived! The space was clean and cozy and the kitchen was stocked amazingly. We like to cook on our vacations and we had everything we needed available to use including oils and spices. The hosts were SUPER responsive and nice. The beds, although a bit squeeky, were comfy. The bedrooms are REALLY small though, the beds take almost almost all of the space in the non-master bedrooms, we had to leave our luggage in the office area. The neighborhood is quiet and clean, we felt safe here in this "cabin" and wal-mart was close by.

The cabin was immaculate. Very private and quiet. Tyler was very communicative and check in was so easy.

This place was a grand slam for our family ! Checked all the boxes. Our kids had a blast playing in the little brook that runs through the property and the freedom of the large yard. Darrell has it setup perfectly for bbq on nice covered porch relaxing in the mountain air . Not to mention riding to the trail system from there made it easier than we could have imagined. Thank you for having us.

We had an amazing stay. Lots of roads to ride SxS, and close to other trails. Restaurants were close by with good food and a neat little convenience store. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, I loved learning about its history. There was a fire pit, grill and the porch was just right. The cabin was very clean and well kept, accommodating, comfortable and the location was perfect for a get away. We never had to worry about getting a cold shower or freezing at night either, this cabin had it all! Everything we forgot to bring was in the cabin! Regina was always fast to respond to questions, had the best recommendations, very welcoming, helpful and so friendly! What a great family! It was hard to leave. We will definitely be back!

10/10 would stay here again. Karrie was SO accommodating and nice! The place was just what we needed for my birthday riding trip! We will definitely be back.

It was obvious the amount of thought and care that was put into this cabin. Everything you could ever want was available. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the big living room to hang out in. Quick drive to restaurants or hikes. Highly recommend!

This cabin is beautiful and has plenty of room for everyone. Andi was the best host and was very kind and helpful. She made the process a breeze and was very quick to respond when I had questions. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

This “Cozy Cabin” was secluded and private in the hills of West Virginia! This quaint cabin is located down a private lane surrounded by beautiful scenery, tall trees, a welcoming front porch! We enjoyed the numerous amenities like the grill, sauna, outdoor tub, and great s’mores on the fire-pit. This cabin has everything you need for cooking and plenty of blankets and towels! So impressed with this cabin and the games provided for a rainy day or late night. This cabin is so close to restaurants and hiking trails. The cabin exceeded or expectations and would stay again!!!

This was our second stay at Jeremy's Cabin, and we couldn't be happier! The location strikes the perfect balance—close enough to town for convenience, yet far enough away to feel like you're truly off the grid. The sound of the running creek adds an extra touch of tranquility that we absolutely love. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this lovely cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

The host was very responsive and accommodating with our request for an earlier arrival time. The house is quaint. It’s an old home, which comes with its own pros and cons, but it was very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The bed was really comfy. The house is private, though neighbors are still fairly close. There’s a great yard to walk the dogs. But the thing we loved the very best was the location. It’s SO close to the New River Gorge National Park. You can’t ask for a better location to enjoy the park. We would definitely return to this house, should we ever be back in the area.
