Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alnwick/Haldimand

The farmhouse was exactly what we needed for a quick "meet in the middle" get-together with our kids that are now living in Ottawa and Toronto. Denise was an excellent host and the farmhouse has absolutely everything, really. It is the most well equipped Airbnb that we have stayed at. Denise was very accommodating as we had left the birthday cake behind and had to return well after our checkout to retrieve it. It was just too bad we only had the one night!

We stayed at the little blue cottage for a girls trip. The best thing about this place was the location. It was just a very short walk to the beach, cafe, restaurants, grocery store, and walking trail. The home was cozy and clean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and I felt like I could ask the host if we needed anything else. The queen bed was very comfy. And there were plenty of linens, blankets and towels. Shannon was there if we needed her but left us to enjoy the space. I recommend sitting outside on that beautiful deck in the morning. ☕️🕶️☀️ Thanks for a great stay!

Hosts are very responsive and helpful, the place is lovely, extremely clean, has all amenities and looks even better than the photos. I have stayed there twice and would stay again!!!!

This is our second visit and it won't be our last. This is a wonderful place - it's quiet, comfortable, with great amenities and a terrific back yard. The location made it easy to take day trips around the county. We highly recommend it!

For sure, if I have to go back in Peterborough, I would rent again this lovely apartment. It has all the basics and I appreciate the quiet neighbourhood. Self entry was easy with the detailed instructions of the host. The only comment I would give to other guests is that the mattress is quite soft and a little uneven. Nevertheless, I had two very good night sleeps thanks to the quiet spot and also very good quality of bedding.

Doreen and Derek were excellent hosts. They were warm, friendly and receptive. The place was clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had all necessary amenities. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful. We would like to visit the place again if the opportunity arises.

They were so welcoming and helpful, and the listing was even better in person – super clean, stylish, and had everything we needed. We loved the cute little note reviews (wish I could have left one but I was in such a rush the day of checkout, so I’m leaving them an awesome review here to compensate😅). The location was perfect for literally anything- walking, shopping, restaurants, nature etc. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay here. The river is very peaceful, and the place has open space concept and had everything we needed for cookware. Very comfortable space, and loved the wraparound porch. View was amazing! Thank you!

We came to Peterborough to visit our kids, who are both studying at Trent. The apartment was perfect for us. Plenty of room for two people. The desk was perfect for me to work while my husband watched TV. Bathroom was small but functional. Maya had lots of little extras too - coffee pods for the Nespresso coffee maker, tea bags, spices and cooking supplies, toothpaste, chocolates. We would definitely stay again if/when we come back.

Highly recommend Gordana beyond friendly and the place was very homey and roomy. Just as pictured in the photos, if you need anything response time is beyond fast. Highly recommend

Natalia was very helpful. I booked on the day of check in. She was responsive, helpful and patient. The apartment was warm, quiet and comfortable. Natalia made sure I was able to find everything easily for and told me about in town activities. There were even Christmas lights on the balcony, a lovely touch since it was Santa Day weekend.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Spacious, comfortable, and clean. Lots of amenities and quiet. Location ideal for visiting downtown Port Hope. Would stay again. Recommended.

This place was everything I expected and almost felt like a home away from home. Jessica’s place was very clean and included lots of unexpected amenities such as Keurig coffee pods, gain laundry pods, bath and body works hand soaps, bath towels and a full kitchen with lots of cookware. If you’re staying in the area I would highly recommended this place.

Overall great place and Regis is a very good host. The only thing is that the dryer doesn't work.
