Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Alfeizerão

Jane was a terrific person to deal with as we planned our return visit to Foz for our anniversary. Very quick to respond to our queries and offer up suggestions for our trip. Very hands on about the booking, even though she doesn’t live in the local area. Thanks Jane!!

A peaceful, rural location. The comfortable king size bed gave us our best few nights' sleep for months. We'd prearranged for a supply of groceries and paid them on our arrival. With a good stock of food and drink we could stay local and take advantage of exploring Ruth & Graham's vast expanse of fields with fig and olive trees and rambled through their wood down to the river. The facilities inside the barn/cottage are faultless, we had good internet connection and my husband was able to fulfill his work commitments and conduct a video conference. The bathroom/shower was spotless with strong water pressure so that just a gentle turn of the tap gave us perfect showers. Every aspect of what a visitor might need has been well thought through and provided. We took gentle strolls along tracks near the neighbouring tree plantations where the smell of eucalyptus was cleansing. I enjoyed their spring flowers and flocks of birds. I baked a cake and shared it with our hosts. Will rebook soon.

Beautiful clean house and pool, comfy beds and really spacious house. We were greeted by Pereira’s father who gave us a tour and was very friendly and helpful - we enjoyed the wine he gifed us too! Would recommend a car to stay here.

We loved our month’s stay at Arlinda’s place - a house full of art and history - especially appreciated Arlinda’s creative use of driftwood and branches that made for functional and interesting spaces - 3 outdoor spaces! Her home is right outside the castle walls, easy to walk into the center -

Perfect! We loved the house and the area. Easy check-in and check-out, and the house had everything we needed. Rita and her husband brought firewood to use for the fireplace which made our stay extra comfortable. Definitely recommend

Had a lovely peaceful stay and the apartment was really clean and had everything we needed. Oliver and Arran were very attentive hosts and everything was well planned out with recommendations and helpful info. You do ideally need to hire a car if flying to Lisbon which the hosts will also help with recommendations. Thanks so much for a lovely retreat x

We were there with a group of 8 people for 8 nights and enjoyed the time very much. The family welcomed us very warmly and gave us great tips for destinations in the area. The house and garden were really nice. We had everything you need (pool, grill, fire pit) for a relaxing week. Shopping and activities were also within easy reach. Thanks for the wonderful time to the Vicente family!

We stayed here for over two weeks and used it as a base to explore from Lisbon to Coimbra, as well as to enjoy the sights of Obidos. It worked perfectly and proved to be a fabulous place to stay which was made convenient by the road network. Rodrigo is a fabulous host and the home and garden are absolutely great. Obidos is incredible and lovely and it’s unique to be able to stay inside the walls of the castle - be warned, it is hilly and everywhere is cobbled, so wheelchairs and those who struggle to walk may not find it easy. Wider travel is easy with fantastic roads - yes, many are tolls and we spent around €70 on charges, but in return we found some absolutely beautiful towns and coastal points such as Coimbra, Tomar, Santarem, Ericeira etc…far too many to list here. We also went to Lisbon a couple of times which was easy by coach for €19 each return. Fully recommend this place for a short stay or as a base for exploration of the Silver Coast.

Great location, with beautiful sea views and walking distance to the lagoon and the beach with the restaurants, great. The cottage is also well located for trips to Óbidos, Nazaré, and also Lisbon. Communication with Bruno was easy.

We had a lovely stay in nazare at this lovely and peaceful apartment! Super comfortable and great views from balcony. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area. The Porto and pastries upon our arrived was also a nice touch. Thank you Maria!

We struggled a lot to find her apartment at first, I think providing photos of the building and street could be very helpful! I appreciated the photos for the lock box because that made it easier to find. Getting the door open to the building was very difficult, you have to jiggle the key up and down and push to get in. Once in her apartment things were wonderful! Very spacious, clean, and great location!

Marco’s seaside flat was the perfect one for us coming for a wedding in Foz do Arelho. The location is right on the promenade and we can very easily enjoy the beach and all the diverse local shops and businesses. Would highly recommend! Obrigada Marco!

We really enjoyed our stay at Teresa and Miguel's house. The house is super-equipped, it was very clean and has a great location. Teresa and Miguel are very friendly and helpful. We hope to be back!

I can honestly say it was a lovely three days. The hosts were kind, considerate and very helpful. The swimming pool was lovely especially after a hard days riding motorbike we definitely would recommend staying there to any of our friends… Value for money

Fantastic spot, great accommodation Mr Fernando was very helpful and polite. Responding to all questions. Some historical areas of interest close by too.

We were very satisfied, especially the great garden and billiards room were great. The house is in a very quiet area, you could listen to the birds chirping. Overall a very spacious place to stay, we were satisfied.

We had the great pleasure of spending six wonderful days in Jorge's fantastic villa near Nazaré – and can recommend the accommodation without reservation! Jorge was an exceptionally friendly and helpful host who made us feel welcome from the first moment. He was always available if questions arose and always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The villa itself is beautifully located, quiet and offers a wonderful view. It is very well equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. The fantastic pool, which provided refreshment and fun for young and old every day, is particularly noteworthy. We also greatly appreciated the leisure opportunities on the property - the foosball table and the pool table, although a bit old, were a great change and not only gave the children a lot of fun. Thank you Jorge!

Our group had the most amazing time staying at Andreia's place and we'll definitely book again if we can!

Elsa is a wonderful Host, just like her incredible villa. From the booking, through the arrival to our departure, we were accompanied with kindness and benevolence throughout this experience. The house is ideal for hosting a large family, or groups. We had an extraordinary stay, in complete privacy, in this vast and comfortable place. We had a lovely time at the villa! Francisca has been the best host we could have asked for. The check in and check out have been very flexible and accommodating, she provided us with many local recommendations and support whenever we needed it. The villa is a beautiful well-kept place where you feel right at home. 10/10 recommend and planning on coming back!!
