Be adventurous and stay in rustic old Gidley Station. It was moved to "Trail Acres" in the 1920's and was converted to a house. It has a unique but spacious floor plan, and is on a property that we have been working hard to restore for the last few years. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING!
“Kammy's Gidley Station home is a unique one. It has a fantastic history including the surrounding area. The full kitchen was great for making all of our meals for the three days we were there. It has lots of room for larger families too. You have free roam of the grounds for the most part. We enjoyed exploring the old windmill and terrific barn on the grounds. Our 14 year old daughter liked drawing under the big tree in the front yard while our 8 year old son played and my husband hung out on the porch. We appreciated all of the Christian based messages displayed around the house. It instantly made all of us feel right at home and welcome there. The home and the grounds are super peaceful and emit a very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. In Jesus name, sincerely, The Lowerys”
Our cabin in the woods is a great getaway if you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax. It’s off the grid and is roughing it in style. A small and quiet 2000 watt Honda generator provides electricity for lights, charging your phone or laptop as well as a coffee maker, toaster or electric heater. It is easily accessible off I-69 on your way up north, 15 minutes south of I-94 or 30 minutes north of the Indiana Toll Road.
“What you see is what you get, and it’s a slice of paradise! I stayed with my three boys (8, 13, & 16) for two nights and had an absolute ball. The place is super clean and so thoughtfully designed. It’s glamping without any fuss. The property offers endless opportunities to explore, and nearby water has bass, panfish and opportunities to tube and kayak. The generator, plenty of battery operated lighting and the cleanest outhouse in Michigan eliminates any fear of the “rustic” label suited for DNR cabins that cost 50% more per night. When you need to get away, this cabin will not disappoint!”

“Kim & Jim’s place is adorable. It was spotless and we were able to bring our small dog with us. We have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and we all slept comfortably. They had a new twin size air mattress that our daughter thought was so cool to sleep on. Our son slept in the pack-n-play provided. The location is great, really close to the freeway. Kim and Jim were very accommodating and had some snacks, waters, and fruit for us when we arrived. Jim took our daughter on a golf cart ride, on their peaceful property. They shared recommendations on local attractions that would accommodate our interests with small children. I would absolutely recommend their place for families. For the price it’s a stellar deal. We will certainly be back.”
