Holiday rentals with a kayak in Albemarle County

This was my first Air BnB experience. I was most pleased with the experience. The home was clean, well stocked and imminently comfortable. Great location, on a quiet residential street with easy access to all of the events we had planned. Sara was a delight, easy to work with, generous and helpful.

Wonderful cottage. Peaceful surroundings. Lots of open grounds and 30 min drive to Charlottesville. Lots of room to spread out. Wonderful weekend getaway.

Excellent location near UVA and downtown Charlottesville. I enjoyed walkable restaurants in Baracks Road shopping center. Also made a quick run to Whole Foods!

We had a great stay. in Charlottesville. The house was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for us and our two young boys. There were even some kid books and toys, which we appreciated. The house had everything we needed for a few days of family vacation. There was a great playground and river at the end of the road in short walking distance. Within a 10-15 minute drive, there were other playgrounds, indoor playgrounds, a fun arcade, and great breweries. Overall a great location close to everything Charlottesville has to offer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Homestead. The property was very private, beautiful, and welcoming. We enjoyed meeting Bianca, Ulabelle, and Calvin. The chickens and roosters in the coop were beautiful. The room was exactly as pictured and every thoughful amenity was at hand. Bianca left delicious croissants, yogurt, almond milk, fruits, and coffee/tea. The room smelled lovely..... we are still trying to figure out what brand of soap the caramel colored soap in the bathroom soap dish was - it smelled SO good. The bed was sturdy and mattress comfortable. The fairy lights above the bed posts were a nice touch, very romantic. We slep like rocks. The bathroom shower was great with variable streams to select from. The tingle body wash, shampoo, and conditioner was nice . . .we found it at Trader Joe's :) . We will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this house with its incredible view of the pond and lovely garden. Lots of space both inside and out. The location felt like it was way out in the country, but it was minutes from town and only 30 minutes from restaurants in Charlottesville. We also like how close it was to Massanutten. Great hosts.

Great cabin. Nice warm heater. Great kitchen. Great nature vibes. Right next to a small pond that you can canoe in.

Our family had the best stay at Amy’s place! It was clean, well stocked and the beds were super comfortable! The fire pit out back was so nice to relax after a day of exploring and wine tasting. We would definitely stay here again!

A magical overnight stay, for sure! The cottages were cozy, well thought out, and very clean! The “back yard” was like a gorgeous fairy land. We already can’t wait to come back, one night was not enough!

Charles's cottage was just as described and depicted in the profile. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and close to lots of local attractions, including vineyards and breweries. Very peaceful and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is spacious, with lots to explore. It is quiet, private, and feels like a real getaway. The staff were attentive, generous and very communicative. We explored the property with our two dogs, who also had a great time. The cottage had plenty of space, was clean, had great hot water, comfy beds, solid heating, and everything else we could have wanted. We look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay! BEAUTIFUL cottage and fully filled with amenities to make our stay comfortable. The screened-in porch, fire pits, soaking tub, and full kitchen were all highlights for us. Would definitely stay again!

I would 1000% recommend that you take the opportunity to stay here. The location is breathtaking, the vibe is immaculate, and the cabin was perfect for me, me wife, and our two puppies. I will definitely be coming back. It is worth noting that there is a moderate pet fee I didn't realize until after booking, but it is still completely worth it. Happy trails :)

Beautiful place with lots to do. Clean place and well-stocked kitchen. We used the grill, the kayak, the fire pit by the lake and the bicycles without any extra cost. We get to walk the trails and enjoy the weather.

This was the perfect sanctuary for a solo creative recharge and retreat! Every detail in the small space was thought out, from the well appointed kitchen to the details in the bathroom to the cozy linens in the loft bed. I am already dreaming about my next visit back!

We had a lovely weekend! The area is beautiful and peaceful, exactly what we wanted for this weekend getaway! Access to the lake and canoes was great and the trail was fun to do!

Really valuable spot… Amazing views, very peaceful setting, and very responsive host. Highly recommend and we do plan to return!!
