Relaxing Log Cabin

Our custom built log home has 2 queen bedrooms on the main floor and a loft with 4 twin beds (2 bunk beds) upstairs. Games and puzzles, kitchen & deck, yard with a ninja obstacle line, and a washer and dryer. Wood burning stove in the home & a fire pit outside (spray with hose when finished burning!). We have Wi-Fi but NO TV. NO smoking or vaping or pets on property- $500+ fine enforced. Message me regarding possible discounts allowed for 1-night stays & fewer guests. Garage not for guest use.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

It was an amazing stay. Beautiful setting, and wonderful for our family. My son loved all the farm animals and had a great time exploring. The ability to buy farm fresh food was amazing and Trisha was an amazing hostess, her and Nolan were very welcoming. It was peaceful and a perfect place to unwind and recharge. We would definitely come back.

The View was amazing! Even though it was -10*, it felt like we were in a sunroom looking out on the lake. It was amazing to sit with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise each morning, along with taking in the action of the Ice fishing on the lake. The steps in the home are very steep and one needs to take caution and go slow while going down.

We had a great time biking in Holdingford and camping with friends for the weekend. It’s a nice little spot to get away from the city, it is quiet and we slept really well. Everything is as listed, it is cute and comfortable.

Beautiful location. I enjoyed walking down to the dock and having coffee or reading my book. It is so peaceful and quiet. It started to drizzle and literally sounded like a sound machine. My son and husband enjoyed the paddle boards and game room. My husband and son took a short drive to Palmer lake and went running along the beautiful lake each morning. The general store that is a mile away, has anything you may need but the cottage is fully stocked with anything you may need! Small touches like having ACTUAL cleaning supplies on hand made me happy lol. The cottage was SO clean and decorated like a dream. It did get exceptionally hot for two days we were there ( heat advisory) and we ended up having to all sleep in the king bed as the AC unit is only in the king bedroom. 10/10 recommend this property. Prob my favorite so far! Thanks again.
