Alagoa is a municipality in the traditional South of Minas, among the beautiful mountains of Serra da Mantiqueira. Families produce the famous and award-winning "Queijo de Alagoa" (Alagoa Cheese), including in France. An award-winning olive oil producing municipality, it has the facilities of a modern factory, and olive groves, which can be visited. The house is a haven of peace, where the feeling is that we are in a clearing in the midst of a dense and rich biodiversity, surrounded by springs, waterfalls, beautiful walks and breathtaking viewpoints. From the house or the hot tub, you can contemplate the forest and the beings that inhabit it, such as toucans, monkeys, butterflies of all colors,… to the sound of the waterfall in the background. Modernist Chalet in the middle of the Forest

3000 m2 site surrounded by an Atlantic Forest in a protected area. The main house is a modernist chalet designed in 1962 by architect and artist Levy Menezes (1922-1991). The property is within the Itatiaia National Park. To access Guapuruvu Residency, you must identify yourself at the Park entrance as a residential visitor. Space not suitable for children and the elderly. Pets are not permitted in the Park. Satellite Internet.

Cabana do Nilo - Mantiqueira Mountains

We are at an altitude of 1,760 meters, in Mantiqueira National Park. Itamonte is in the south of Minas Gerais at the top of Serra da Mantiqueira. Our property is 25 km away from the center of Itamonte (12 km of asphalt plus 13 km of dirt road). In rainy periods (SUMMER) inquire in advance about the DIRT ROAD CONDITIONS and the weather forecast. We accept small to medium-sized dogs that ARE NOT PUPPIES.
