Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Aitkin County

We had a wonderful time in Amy Marie's home! The property is beautiful and charming, and the lake view is stunning! It is a large home with lots of space! It was perfect for our extended family vacation. Amy Marie gave us a recommendation to rent a pontoon boat at Beachside Resort Rentals and they had a perfect boat for us and treated us very well. Thank-you for a terrific stay and fun family vacation!

Wonderful place for family to play cards, fish, kayak and relax. Large back yard for our dogs. Great large kitchen to prepare meals. Everything was clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning for another weekend.

We received all the information we needed prior to arriving for our get away and when we arrived we couldn't have been more pleased with this cabin. It was extremely clean and had everything that was described. The cabin was very spacious and it felt like we were at home. This cabin had everything that we needed, and was immaculately clean when we arrived!!! The game room was more than bargained for. The amount of games that were available was awesome. We haven't played some of these games (foosball, air hockey) in ages and we had so much fun. The kids especially enjoyed it, they had a blast. Access to the lake was super easy and the firepit was an excellent place to relax and enjoy the sunset!! We will definitely be coming back in the future.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and they were also flexible with check-in and check-out times. There were fun activities available for rental, and the house itself was very comfortable. The area is perfect, there’s a little store nearby, along with some restaurants. We also loved the nice walking trails and the easy access to the water and fishing right from the dock. We definitely had a lot of fun and would love to come back. Thanks, Beth!

Gregg and Nancy were fantastic hosts—responsive, friendly, and quick to share tips about the area. The cabin is in a perfect location. It is tucked up in the woods, making it really private, but is a short walk away from it's private dock access. It also has easy access to the Pallisade Trail that leads to the Soo Line. I would definitely book this property again!

Beautiful location. Great accommodation and closer to the wedding we were attending in Hill City than were hotels in Grand Rapids. Very clean. Loved it!

It was a great stay a little to expensive for that place and there was bugs but other than that Marie was great and felt at home there and very well taken care of she came when our door wouldn’t unlock and it was like 10 or 11 at night

It was very clean and spacious! My daughter lives right down the road, very convenient! I would highly recommend it to anyone! Beautiful scenery and lots of trails. Pool was great also! I will definitely come back soon!

We had a wonderful time and the cabin and lake were perfect. The owner took us on a quick private boat tour to let us know the good fishing spots prior to renting the boat. On site firewood for the fire pit and several restaurants and convenience stores close by. The owners are so friendly and onsite for any questions. Can’t wait to go back in the fall to see all the beautiful colors!

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was exactly like the photos—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. It truly lived up to my expectations. I enjoyed every moment of my time there and felt right at home. The host was also great and made everything super easy. We had a great stay! The cabin was perfect. Cute, clean and comfortable. Just enough space from the neighbors and beautiful views. Plenty of paper products and basic necessities to fill in the gaps to make out stay perfect. Jamie was always responsive, friendly and helpful. Can't wait to bring the kids back with us next time!

I had an amazing time here. I came to get away for a week, and work on some art projects. This place was absolutely perfect for that. It's just secluded enough to feel private, but it's on a loop of four total cabins, so it felt safe, too. The woods were very peaceful, the trails are very well kept. Mille Lacs is an easy 20min drive away. The owners leave a "check-in/out" list in the cabin, as well as general info of the area and some numbers to call or text if you need help (and they're super responsive!). Wifi was great too. The cabin itself was comfortable and well stocked, and had very cute decorations. I was a little worried about the size (I'm 6') but the loft was plenty big. The only thing I had trouble with was the small shower, but if you're able-bodied and able to bend, it works out just fine. (Maybe not for older folks though!) All in all, a fantastic and restful stay, and I definitely plan to return! 10/10 would recommend :)

Little Whitefish Resort is a great family owned and operated resort. Its a step back into time with modern amenities available (Wi-Fi and satellite tv). The host family is great and responds right away to any questions. We picked this location as they had a couple cabins available that took dogs. Our dog loved coming here and felt right at home. Enjoyed a boat ride around the lake looking at the wild rice growing. Best part is the lake is a private lake so it is not run over with multiple boats. Fishing is great too my kids were able to fish from the dock and caught plenty of fish. Little Whitefish has become our new favorite find. Looking forward to creating more family memories here over the next couple of years to come.
