Cottage holiday rentals in Ahedo

Host and their family went out of their way to assist us. Together we looked through our trip itinerary and made additional suggestions where appropriate. They helped us when we broke down with a flat tire communicating with the rental car company to get us a new rental and tow truck. Our last day we thought we had left some items at the rental after we had checked out and they went back to open the house up to allow us to get back inside and find our items. Very friendly. The house was great and overlooks a valley with the towns below. We were visited by cows and sheep and all the snails and slugs natural to the area. After hiking, biking, and visiting the surrounding towns it was a nice relaxing spot to come back to. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommended. We spent two nights, a group of 8 friends. The house is beautiful, spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated, has all the details. We were very pleased, and looking forward to repeating.

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. We're so glad we spent those days there. It was very relaxing, beautiful place. The welcome was really warm. The house is as described and very convenient. We are really happy. Small bonus for roommate with these two wouhs wouhs and these 4 ducks 😍

Ideal accommodation for a few days of disconnection. As you can see in the photos, everything is impeccable and the surroundings are wonderful. Patricia was very attentive and kind. And... The bath in the jacuzzi is a must, spectacular! In addition, it is perfect for going with a pet. We'll be back!

We had a great weekend. It's an ideal house for large groups, very comfortable. The area offers many activities: hiking, visits...and the spa in the house is great to relax after a busy day. Great!

The house was very well maintained, clean and tidy. The garden is very large and completely enclosed, ideal if you are traveling with a dog. The area is very quiet with good walks, without shops nearby. Entry and out times were very flexible. Johanna was always very attentive to our requests.

The accommodation was in a nice area, with a great view of Santander and the bay, and very quiet. The location is very good to visit Cantabria, we went with a dog and a baby and it was very comfortable to move and visit things. On the other hand, Dany and she is very friendly and pleasant and was always attentive to if we needed anything, being very fluid communication.

Very comfortable rural house, with a large garden and barbecue, in a very quiet but not isolated area, safe and great also for going with pets. The host is very friendly and available, we'd be delighted to return in the future

The house was impeccable, with everything you need to feel comfortable. The environment is beautiful, there is a lot of peace and tranquility, and it has spectacular views. Laura, the hostess, was attentive to whether we needed anything, and left us some sobaos and quesada to welcome us. We went with family and friends to spend the weekend and we wanted to spend more days there. In short, we felt right at home.

A lovely home in the country but just a 10 min walk to the main street. It was so peaceful with the country noises in the background. Parking was in the yard and there were plenty of outdoor seating choices. Esmerelda and her Mum were very attentive at all times making sure we were happy. We visited Santander an easy day trip and stayed overnight to visit Bilbao. Absolutely loved our 10 night stay and highly recommend.

We went to disconnect from the city and rest as a family. We met Emilio and his wife there, who are always around and very kind and respectful to help you in any way they can. The house, which is really spacious and cozy, has 3 bedrooms: two double and one with two single beds. A bathroom and an American-style living room with kitchen. The arrival at the house is by a gravel road, but it is not difficult to travel it by car. There are cows, you're in the countryside, but there's no smell, no discomfort, on the contrary, it helps you to disconnect. You share a location with two other rented houses adjacent to this one, which are also Emilio's. The truth is that it was an inconvenience for us because we did not want to be sharing space; but the truth is that they were not noticed at all. Our dog was loose at all times. It's true that it's not fenced, but there's no danger around. Thank you so much so much for everything!🤗

This house was absolutely breathtaking. Although it is not in a main city it is definitely close by and worth a stay. This place overlooks a beautiful vineyard and makes you feel like you're in a little oasis. The outdoor entertainment was amazing with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue that allows for wonderful nights enjoying your time. The views are incredible, the town is peaceful. Hosts were extremely kind, helpful and gave great recommendations.

We were 4 families (4 couples with 4 babies) and we were very comfortable!☺️ The accommodation is in a very quiet area It has two wonderful terraces and a large garden. The BBQ in good weather is a joy, as there are several tables with enough chairs to enjoy that moment all together! All the rooms are spacious and have enough space to move around without any problems, and the beds are very comfortable too! The layout and signage they have used within the accommodation is very comfortable and clear, which makes Jaime's directions easy and comfortable to understand☺️ Jaime quickly answered all the questions that we had. Fully equipped house, the first time I've found all kinds of kitchenware and cleaning products. Very spacious and comfortable, the porch and garden are a luxury, located in a very quiet village with sufficient services. Very well located, close to all areas of interest. Totally recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Our stay has been amazing. The place is great, in the middle of nature, an ideal and peaceful place to relax. A beautiful garden and a very chulo apartment. In addition, it is 10 minutes away from the beach. And what about Itziar, it's a charm, attentive to everything you ask for and even what you might need. You can tell that he does what he likes, because he also takes care of everything at the millimeter. My pleasure

Mari Carmen's house is in an enviable setting. Surrounded by nature and maximum tranquility, it allows you to completely disconnect from daily stress and enjoy its countless walking routes, as well as fantastic restaurants with local dishes at really interesting prices Marí Carmen was always very friendly and was waiting for us personally upon our arrival. She even gave us some cartons of milk that we had forgotten to bring. Being a small town, it does not have any shops where you can buy basic necessities such as milk, eggs, etc... and you need to drive 20 minutes to do so. However, there are several souvenir shops and typical products such as sobaos, chorizo, salchichón, ... You can easily park next to the house, as Mari Carmen provides you with a card that allows you to leave your vehicle in the historic center. If we return to Bárcena Mayor, we will definitely stay at Mari Carmen's house. Thank you very much and a hug

Our stay was excellent. The house is just as described: very clean, comfortable and almost brand new. The spaces are cared for and family-friendly. The kids loved the trampoline, they had a big time. Although it is a little out of the way from Torrelavega, the location is very quiet and the connection with the highway is perfect for moving around the area. It was a good starting point to get to know Cantabria. Yohana was always attentive and very kind. We would definitely repeat. Highly recommend
