Perfect place to relax and spend a few days surrounded by nature and with beautiful villages less than 15 minutes away. Totally recommended for anyone looking for this type of experience.

This place was absolutely magical - the treehouse feels whimsical and Harry Potterish and the setting is outstanding . Be aware that this is a water shortage area - take your own drinking water and towels to reduce your use of their water . Wonderful walks and all so peaceful - next time we will stay longer !

The lodge is right on the lake with greenery surrounding and some tortoises and rabbits running around. The pictures don’t do this place justice. You just have to be there. The place has an antique vibe. You wake up to the beautiful view of the lake and sounds of the birds. You can kayak, swim, feed fish or rent out a boat out into the lake either sundowner or during the day or they organise for you to see other lakes (Green crater lake). The staff are extremely helpful and polite. They give local recommendations, especially as I was travelling alone they made sure I was safe especially in moving around. I want to extend my utmost gratitude to the team. I felt right at home. Thank you so much!! Highly highly recommend. Book it don’t even think about it, it’s one of the best spots on the lake.

Serene and beautiful escape from the city and town. Ideal for just relaxing with a good book and resetting. Lovely nature and birds all around. Walking trial with the river only a couple of meters walk from the cabin. The road is a bit rough and the road works to get to the destination is a bit of a pain. I am sure once the road is fixed it will be an easy and smooth drive though.

It is always with great pleasure that I stay at the cottages every year. The establishment innovates and modernizes regularly while keeping track of the past: hospitality, service, restaurant quality, pool maintenance and cleanliness of exteriors and rooms.

Excellent host and place. The place was really beautiful and peaceful the entire stay. The chefs were really good and helpful.

We were there to film sharks for a documentary. If you like to scuba, totally recommend this as a place to stay. Dive from the Malongane Dive Center. Must have a 4x4. Beautiful view. Great entertainment area, clean and airconed rooms. Would live to come back for a family holiday.

We were in the tiny cabin during winter, for a chilly and rainy weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. The perfect place to cozy up and enjoy the views, sipping hot chocolate in front of the heater while listening to the rain on the roof. When there were gaps in the rain we went for walks through the stunning countryside. The waterfalls were majestic, the fynbos smelled amazing and we even got to see some snow on the mountains on our last day. It really was a perfect winter getaway.

I spent a very enjoyable week in the Honeybee cabin. It was clean, quiet and in a very picturesque location. I stayed in winter, but the fireplace and heated blanket meant it was nevertheless a cozy stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful, overall can recommend the cabin for getaway in Hogsback.

It's a place for those who are looking for peace to experience. The pleasure of watching the forest from the veranda was priceless. We experienced it when we left the winter, but I'm sure it will be a very enjoyable place in all seasons Everything was very clean and tidy, especially the bedroom. A Perfect Nature Escape The Mountain Hide is a true gem nestled within a conservancy—ideal for anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in nature. My partner and I spent the weekend there and loved every moment. The home is stunning, both inside and out, with thoughtful touches that make it feel welcoming and serene. We enjoyed peaceful sunrises and breathtaking sunsets, and spent our evenings braaing under the stars, kept warm by the convenient outdoor gas heater. One of the highlights was a guided morning walk with our wonderful host, Henriette. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made our stay even more memorable. I genuinely can't fault this place. It’s tranquil, beautifully maintained, and offers the perfect mix of comfort and nature. Highly recommended!

Had a breathtakingly amazing stay at Sabrina’s property. It’s the perfect getaway for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Joburg. The property itself is gorgeous and the nature everywhere absolutely elevated the experience. My partner & I easily rate this place a solid 10/10; I lowkey wanted to gatekeep it cause it’s so stellar however it wouldn’t be fair to others. Sabrina, once again thank you.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mont Rouge Cabin in Tulbagh! The cabin is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and so well equipped with everything you could need — they’ve really thought of all the little details to make your stay extra comfortable. The private hot tub was such a treat and made the experience even more special. The peaceful setting and stunning views made it the perfect escape. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel right at home. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would love to come back again!

Anikia' place is unique. Original set-up in the middle of a huge farm where you can take a real break from everything and disconnect. Kids loved the tree house and the zip line. Despite our original thoughts to do something around The Wagons, due to the remoteness and quietness of the place, we decided to stay and enjoy it as much as possible
