Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Adirondack Mountains

We loved our stay at Reinaldo’s place! The location was so serene and just perfect for a little getaway from downstate. They keep it very clean and in order and are responsive hosts! Our favorite moments were taking the kayaks out onto the lake, barbecuing dinner, and sitting by the campfire at night. Truly lovely.

We had a great time over a holiday weekend! The house was close to a few places to get necessities and a few places to eat. It was within a half hour to a few ski areas also, which was the main plan of our trip. The house was beautiful and clean. Thr sauna and hot tub were great features of the home. We got a good amount of snow while there and Julian was quick to keep us updated on having the driveway plowed. The area is beautiful wotha lake view. The house had plenty of space and bathrooms for our two families. Everything was clean and in goof shape when we arrived.

Overall, a great place to stay if you want a “camping” experience without the tent. Beautiful location, a short drive to a lot of the high peaks, and the place had all the basics you need. Our actual trip was unfortunately not perfect due to the weather, and Gregory offered us a free night because of it, which we appreciated. I’d definitely come back again. The only piece of information, if you aren’t a fan of bugs, pick a hotel, the place was as clean as you could make it, but some ants will get in, and it was a bit cobwebby. None of it bothered me and my stay but just know that it is still the outdoors and that’ll happen.

We recently stayed at a delightful lake house in Plattsburgh to celebrate our son’s graduation from CUNY Plattsburgh. Our time there was truly special, as the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful lake views provided the perfect backdrop for our family gathering. The Boathouse was well-equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities that made our time relaxing and enjoyable. The peacefulness of the lake allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives and fully immerse ourselves in this joyous occasion. Overall, our stay was a wonderful blend of celebration and serenity. We are looking forward to returning to this lovely retreat in the future!

We loved our stay here!! It was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The property is beautiful and private but close to anything that you might need. The kitchen was super well stocked, beds were comfy, and we really appreciated the firewood supply. Nikki & Topher were great hosts - extremely responsive to all questions we had and proactive about check in/check out instructions. Would definitely come back!

We have been coming to Lake Placid for 15 years and this was by far the best house we’ve ever stayed in. Jonathan has thought of everything. There was no amenity we thought was missing. The house was immaculate. The property is beautiful and spacious; we had no issue accommodating 7 adults. Next time we come back to Lake Placid we will definitely be reserving this house again.

We loved David's home and felt at home during our stay. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. We felt the hosts were responsive, accessible, and helpful. The home is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We would definitely stay again!

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

a very nice and quiet place for me and my friends to relax! the river was sooo beautiful townake up to in the morning and we all made some s'mores by the campfire! right next to a nice restaurant and a Stewart's so we could even get everything we needed for the fire! would come back here again and thanks for letting us stay!

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s place in Jay, NY. The apartment was clean, cozy, and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with a big green backyard—perfect for relaxing. It’s just a short drive to Lake Placid, the covered bridge, and Whiteface Mountain, with great breakfast spots only 5 minutes away. Brian was a responsive and welcoming host, greeting us at check-in and making sure we had everything we needed. This was a perfect base for exploring the Adirondacks, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We love staying here and have for years. It’s one of the best getaway spots in the ADK. Sandy is Ana amazing host, too. We will be back!

An amazing property that offers one of a kind views of the surrounding mountains all while sitting in a hot tub or laying on a couch. Great jump spot for hiking into the High Peaks Wilderness! Don is an amazing host and will exceed all expectations. We truly look forward to our next visit at the Ridgeline.

Great place with beautiful surroundings! Very close to the lake and town (which had some very good restaurants). The house was perfect for us and the bed was very, very comfortable! Location was also within an hour of some great places in the Adirondacks. Host was very responsive to any issues/questions we had, and while they are close, they left us to do our own thing. Would definitely stay again if I have the chance!

We loved our stay. Host was friendly and told us about the property when we arrived. Lake placid was around the corner with plenty of restaurants, shops and hikes. Their land is beautiful with a pond and our dog loved to roam. The cabin was lovely. The owner crafted it himself and well. We can tell it he worked hard on it and it was built extremely well done for the space. We would come back again in the future. Thank you for allow us to experience your space :)

I was coming into the Adirondacks to do some backpacking. We were going to be arriving late and starting the trip early in morning, so we just needed a place to crash for the night and sort some gear in the morning while we had breakfast. This was a perfect spot and exactly what we needed, though it would have been tempting to relax there for a few days.

Our second time staying! We absolutely love it here, everything meets your expectations and beyond. Kristina is so easy to communicate with, helpful and overall amazing. We caught lots of fish off the kayaks, nd enjoyed smores by the fire - we are already planning our return back for next year!

This is a really beautiful location. The pictures are accurate but they don't quite capture the scale of the bay, lake, and peninsula. You're perched up on a hill or cliff and the birds-eye perspective makes for a great view. The owners are welcoming but respect your privacy. Ausable Chasm is definitely worth the visit. It takes several hours to explore the trails so keep in mind to bring some water. I found Keeseville the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, away from all the traffic and nonsense associated with our daily lives. There are a couple of good spots to eat in town and everything is about 10 minutes from the cabin. Lake Placid is about 45 minutes way if you're looking for other things to do. The drive up Whiteface Mountain is breathtaking and High Falls Gorge is nice, but the gorge pales in comparison to Ausable Chasm.

A truly magical experience to live in the trees. Igor’s place was a warm and cozy place actually nestled amongst the trees. Any view looked out into the trees and even on a rainy weekend, we enjoyed the sounds, the smells, and all the nature that surrounded us. We even got to use the wood stove which helped keep the chill outside. (Thank goodness all those skills came back to me from childhood) Thank you so much for hosting us and we highly recommend to all.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Gorgeous house, absolutely spotless. Amazing stay, will definitely be coming back again!

Maura was an excellent host. Very responsive with very clear instructions on everything you need to know about camp stardust. The cabin is cozy and tucked away in the woods on a serene lake.

This was my second visit to the cabin. The cabin beds are very comfortable and the hammock is perfect to rest on after a day on trails. The cabin and amenities are an Adk oasis! Julia is an excellent host.
