“Joe is a very good and sympatic host. He pick up us from the bus station to the apartment. He's very reactiv and he sends me a lot information about gozo. If we return to gozo for holidays, I take THIS bnb directly!”
Spacious brand new luxury fully air-conditioned one bedroom penthouse with spectacular sea view and a big communal swimming pool in Gozo just minutes away from Mgarr harbour. The penthouse has free WiFi including on the two balconies. From the front balcony you can enjoy 180-degree panorama facing the Mediterranean Sea the islands of Malta and Comino and from the back one, you have a fantastic land view with churchies and a place for an open-air BBQ. Free transport from Gozo Ferry to the flat.
“The apartment is just up the hill from the port. There are at least 15 good restaurants within a 5-15 min walk. Jump on the bus and 100 restaurants in victoria or beyond 30 minutes max. We were on Gozo for the winter holidays, so most places we just walked in, but we ate early. If you go out after 7 pm, make a reservation. But a smile and a patient attitude will usually get you a table without a reservation. The people of Gozo were extremely friendly. I highly recommend an off-season vacation on Gozo. Kristina picked us up at the Ferry and brought us to the apartment, guided us through the ins and outs of life on Gozo then let us be us. We traveled all over the island by bus with no fear of safety. The bus system gets you everywhere you want to go. Purchase a bus pass at the airport as Kristina advises, or you have to visit the main terminal in Victoria for a pass. Either way, you want to go to Victoria. The first bus ride will be 2 euro each (303 at the bottom of the first hill) if you do not have your pass. I do not recommend a car rental, no need. If you cannot get there by bus, get a taxi. Franky at eagle taxi is the way to go. The food was fantastic. Giuseppe - Cafe & Bistro is the first place you should visit. It does not look like much more than a coffee shop, but they should be a Michelin star restaurant. A pharmacy, grocery, church, and coffee shops available 5 min walk from the front door. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel for Breakfast 10 euro for a great buffet. Have a great time in Gozo, enjoy the apartment, and relax.”
Unwind and rejuvenate in the blissful surroundings of Gozo as you spend your days relaxing among the trees in our little slice of Mediterranean paradise. You can expect a warm welcome at our authentic Maltese country home which is located just a short walk from the delightful Xewkija village square. Here you can find the stunning 17th Century Rotunda church as well as many restaurants, bars and cafes to enjoy the summer evenings. A perfect base for exploring the breathtaking beauty of Gozo.
“We had a wonderful little break in Gozo staying in Rita and Jay’s place. The place is a little way from Victoria in Xewkija but is more than manageable on foot. The beautiful little spot of Mgarr Ix-Xini is also within walking distance, the path becomes a little treacherous toward the end so bring your walking shoes for sure! The place is cozy but very clean and has everything you would need for a short stay, the courtyard is a lovely little place to have breakfast which we made good use of. I would highly recommend a stay here!”
