Private river frontage property on 126 acres

KarenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Riverbend retreat was immaculate with extra little touches such as firewood, cooking provisions eg milk, salt, pepper even as far as local meat and frozen pizzas a dog bowl and cleaned dog beds. Sipping a bevy in the outdoor tub listening to nature, watching the sunset and having a fire to keep you warm was amazing. Michael went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect- and it was. He communicated and asked all the right questions. Exceptional doesn’t even begin to describe the place, attention to detail, cleanliness and communication. Will definitely be back.

The Barn

StevenRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a treat to be able to stay at such a beautiful and relaxing location. A gorgeous little cabin with a wonderful vista looking out over a dam with horses and birds. Then there's Evie, the super friendly dog that loves a cuddle. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay, even an outdoor fire pit and lounge. And at the end of the day you can sink into the soft comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. The unit is beautifully decorated with horse bridles, saddles, cowboy hats and a plethora of awards it fits so well with the beautiful scenery.

Endless Summer - Absolute beach front Wooli

JaneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved our stay in this idyllic location. The house was perfect for our family of 3 and a dog. Well equipped kitchen. 2 bathrooms is a bonus. Main bed was very comfy. The view from the kitchen and main bedroom was amazing. Watching the sunrise over the ocean each morning was a relaxing way to start the day. 20m out the front gate was a short stroll to the beach. You don’t even have to take your shoes. Out the back gate, across the road is a shared walking / cycle path that takes you down to the river and breakwall or to the other side of town. Great for walking and cycling. The river is good for swimming, fishing and kayaking. We took a half day charter with Solitary islands fishing charters. We all enjoyed fresh fish for dinner. The General store is well stocked with grocery items and a fast food menu. Nearest Supermarket is in Grafton (40 min). Coles online deliver. We had a shop delivered to time with our arrival. There are few restaurants and a cafe nearby.

Such a cosy old-fashioned Bach-like place to stay on the seafront and beach - wonderful views of sea. It was so dog-friendly and a good location, and easy to walk to a local cafe and restaurant nearby.

Little Rainforest Sanctuary near Bellingen

CamilleRating, 5 starstoday
Such a divine home that we feel so grateful to have experienced. Truly a home away from home, with a bed & couch of your dreams! The cutest decor, curated so thoughtfully in every crack & corner of the home. The perfect winter getaway nestled in the bellingen forest… what a special place! Tip: We recommend getting your bits & pieces in town before heading out there as back & forthing to and fro from town can feel a little tiresome if you’ve travelled a few hours to get there! The essence of off grid - we love it❤️Thankyou so much!

Boketto - A Modern Australian Seaside Escape

BrookeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Katie’s place was something else. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever stayed in. Perfectly clean, thoughtfully styled, and so welcoming. It felt like home straight away with a view that made it hard to leave, absolutely stunning, morning and night. The location was perfect, quietly tucked up in the trees, which gave it such a peaceful, private feel, yet only a 3min drive to Brooms Head where you’ll find a general store, café, and bowls club. It really struck that perfect balance of feeling away from it all, without being too far from the essentials. Katie truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She had snacks, milk, and a few thoughtful touches waiting for us when we arrived, such a warm and welcoming gesture. It’s the little things like that that really made the stay special. This was hands down the most beautiful and relaxing stay I’ve ever had, and I’m already dreaming about coming back.

Your guide to Wooli

All About Wooli

A tiny town on the eastern coast of New South Wales, Wooli is set on a small peninsula with an island-like feel. The strip of land, part of a national park, meets the Pacific Ocean on the east and the Wooli Wooli River to the west and south. It is characterised by the ubiquity of striking turquoise water, lush greenery, and golden sandy beaches. Unsurprisingly, water-based sports are important on the peninsula, with surfing, swimming, and snorkelling a part of daily life.

In terms of sea life, the region is home to a wealth of oysters and Australian mud crabs, which also contribute to the local culinary culture alongside prawns, octopus, and pub classics like fish and chips. The land itself features forests, heaths, and wetlands — great for hikers and walkers. The Headland Walking Track makes for a particularly pleasant hike, leading travellers past a number of quiet beaches and sea-swelled coves.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Wooli

The best times of the year to look for accommodations in Wooli are from March to June, and August to November. The climate around the peninsula tends to be at its most temperate and comfortable during these months, avoiding the higher chances of rain the area sees in January, February, and December. The Grafton Show, hosted by the Clarence Pastoral & Agricultural Society, is usually held in April, and is a celebration of rural community activities, featuring flower shows, arts and crafts, and equestrian events. Other cultural showcases include the Blacksmiths Working Exhibition, a vintage machinery display, and a wood-chopping competition. Curryfest, held in Woolgoolga during September, is a longstanding celebration of Indian culture and cuisine. A little later on in the year is Grafton’s Jacaranda Festival, when the region holds festivities around the blooming lilac trees, with beauty pageants, food stalls, and an open garden display.

The Illaroo to Wooli walking track

An engaging coastal hike that begins at the southern end of the Illaroo campground, the Illaroo to Wooli walking track is a tough but manageable trail that’s sure to work up an appetite. Pack a picnic and treat yourself at one of the many viewpoints overlooking the Wooli coastline.

Yuraygir National Park

Wooli is situated within this New South Wales national park, but it’s well worth exploring the wilder parts of Yuraygir. The park is home to the largest stretch of undeveloped coastline in the state. Remote campgrounds, a wide variety of walking and hiking trails, abundant nature and greenery, and small villages can all be found within Yuraygir National Park. Try the scenic Yuraygir Coastal Walk, a four-day hike through the region.

Marine wildlife

Wooli is home to many fascinating sea-dwelling species, due to its intersection of cool Pacific waters with warmer currents from coastal Australia. From whale watching by boat to snorkelling in the local marine park, you can try to catch a glimpse of rare underwater creatures in their natural habitat.
