Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you around their small farm including cows, chickens and native birds, and browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

Thistle Cottage

Welcome to our small farm. We are situated approximately 5km between Ashburton and Lake Hood. Close to Lake Hood for wedding guests attending weddings as well as being close enough to town. We have a two bedroom cottage. Bedroom 1 has a king bed. Bedroom 2 (recently added) can either have two singles or a super king bed. If you are after some peace and quiet this lovely little cottage is the place to come. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR TODDLERS OR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE 8 YEARS OLD.

The farm is a small block and home to cows, calves, a few pigs, a couple of dogs, two cats and your friendly hosts Paul and Dale. The warm and cosy cabin is a self contained unit detached from the main house, with BBQ, private deck and restful native garden. You will have your own access/key and off road parking. Our place is great for couples. On navman route, we are 2 hours from Christchurch and 4 hours to Queenstown. Only 1 hour from Mt Hutt ski field and 1 hour from Mt Dobson ski field. Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.

Lake Cottage is a small cottage which has a double bed is fully self contained set in 6.5 acres of woodland and formal gardens at "Coniston" Ashburton. In a quiet farm setting only 3 km from the centre of Ashburton and S.H. 1 to Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown. Continental breakfast provisions provided, selection of cereals, porridge, fruit, bread, milk, butter and selection of spreads. Selection of teas and coffees.
