We had a great time at Safe Landing, the room was large, with an en-suite bathroom, and electricity in the evening. The setting is beautiful and the meals are delicious. We loved the atmosphere, everyone was lovely!

*Life's a Beach* Cabin Ocean-Front in Lodge

We loved our stay with safe landing eco lodge. It has a home stay feel but with the privacy and comforts of having your own space. Everyone has breakfast and dinner together creating a little community vibe but it’s not overrun with tourist so still feels as though you have the beach to yourself a lot of the time. There were a couple cockroaches and ants in the room which we got rid of easily and wasn’t too much of a problem for us. I would still recommend staying here as we loved everything else and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Ocean Bungalow - Escape at LONG BEACH

HidayetRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
I had a memorable stay at this homestay, thanks largely to the incredibly lovely and welcoming family. They genuinely go out of their way to make you feel at home, and they offer a range of activities that provide a great insight into the local culture and way of life. Just keep in mind that no activities are offered on Sundays, which is something to plan around. The beach here is by far the most beautiful I’ve seen in Fiji – truly breathtaking! Though the tide goes quite far out around midday, which isn’t ideal for swimming – but that’s just nature. However, the room, the bed and bedding were quite old and had a noticeable moldy smell. The food was okay, but not particularly memorable. Keep in mind, this isn’t a 5-star resort, but a true homestay experience with beautiful people, and you pay significantly less than at the big resorts. Overall, if you’re looking for an authentic, budget-friendly experience with a wonderful local family in a stunning setting, this is a great choice.

Barefoot Bungalow Steps to the Beach in Lodge

Safe landing gives you a very Fijian experience with the amazing food, and activities they have on offer. Me and my friends did a Fijian language class where we learned some new words, a herbal class where we discovered the powers behind the vegetation on site and ate the best foods which were grown just outside! Shoutout to Lewa for being so kind and attentive, you were so lovely and we would love nothing more than to come back and visit again! Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

Wow! The BEST hosts we have ever had. Illy, Aunty Tina, Maria and all of your family thank you for a magical stay. We loved our time here and are so grateful to you for sharing your home with us. The food was delicious and there was always laughter emanating from the kitchen. Every meal was a delight - special shout out to Illy’s coconut pancakes. We were so excited to see them appear on our last morning! We could not recommend this place any more. The room and bathroom was spotless. It’s a homestay as described, and has all that you need. The view from the window was beautiful and just a step outside your door you have a beautiful beach. The ocean is a little choppy but you can snorkel on the other side of the island. We were so sad to leave, we really felt like part of the family.

Garden Bungalow - Escape and LONG BEACH

NatashaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
No words can describe our amazing stay with Christopher’s family. The bungalows are situated on the most beautiful crystal water beach, amongst many coconut trees. The stay is authentic, and not made to be touristy or too orchestrated. We had time to unwind, be with nature, and soak up this beautiful experience. We could lay on a hammock, have a dip in the sea and then a nap listening to the sway of palm trees. We left feeling restored. Every meal was delicious, we especially enjoyed going handline fishing and night spear fishing, and eating our catch fresh! So much care was taken in presenting our meals beautifully, we felt warmly welcomed. We absolutely loved the snorkeling near the drop off by goat island - thousands of colourful fish and corals. We snorkelled for hours. Our trip to the village was our favourite part. Spending time enjoying the beautiful village, while taking part in touch rugby was something we won’t forget soon. Thank you once again!

Ocean View Eco-Dorm in Yasawa Paradise !

NessimRating, 5 stars2 months ago
beautiful homestay at Joe and Lice's place! They are very welcoming people and positive and will help you with everything! The arrival was a bit confusing as you don't know if the boat ride is with the people from Lice's homestay but I guess some of the relatives are a bit shy ! you'll have very social dinner and also recommend to stay in the dormitory if you want to meet people!!

Nabua Lodge • Hidden Getaway • Ocean Front

The bure was a great private getaway in the Yasawas. The room was as photographed, keep in mind it is a simple "resort" so your bathroom is going to be dated/simple compared to standard resorts in the US or elsewhere. The resort will pick you up in a small metal boat, you may want to bring a hard-sided suitcase rather than fabric/soft to avoid things from getting wet if it is raining. The meals were simple, we had one regular and one no-fish diet request and they were able to accommodate us. Most drinks in the "bar" were reasonably priced at $3-4 USD so be sure to bring cash, there is essentially no where else on the island to buy drinks/snacks. The beachfront area had some great snorkeling off to the right, and we would happily visit again. Be sure you bring bug-spray, the bugs are going to find your skin during breakfast and dinner. We just wish there was warm water (the naturally warm water wasn't as warm as we would like for showers, especially getting the bug spray off at night).

Rosa’s place was just as described. Peaceful, home stay and so met the family, lovely food and we did very little other than read our books and watch the sea. It’s a great place to go off grid and relax. Internet was available but not wifi, so you can turn your phone off and soak up the quiet.

Understand what a Fijian homestay is before booking, but if that’s what you’re looking for I can’t imagine a better host and stay. Beautiful family hosts, lots of delicious food, and simple living. The bures are a little older than in the photos but very clean on arrival. Electricity is now 24 hours a day unless there is no sun. A great experience and glimpse at Fijian culture. We plan to return one day.

Peaceful and Tranquil living

UgoRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A great base for visiting Suva but also for nature outings. The little extra, in fact the kitchen, the bathroom, and the deck are only for you, it is not a room but a luxury studio. Finally a little tip: ask Susan for the best place to buy Purini or pineapple pie.

We had a great stay. The bungalow was really clean and spacious. The food was good. There are many great and even free activities. The snorkelling tour at the back of the island was amazing and the basket weaving was a lot of fun. The hosts were very nice and the children just lovely

Yasawa Paradise really is a small slice of paradise! Do not expect luxury accommodation but this is more than made up for by the breathtaking location and wonderful hospitality. Ily and Jonny really look after you and show you the island life! The snorkelling and handline fishing were amazing - I even got a Fijian massage with a view of the ocean! As an FYI to future guests, it is warm at night but I’ve travelled a lot in my life and can honestly say this was the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited, totally worth the price and would recommend to anyone. You can also always pop over to the fancy resort on the other side of the island for a cocktail too! The speedboats are always fun and you might see some jumping fish alongside you too :)
